All true. But then there is the exceptional performances of both Williams, and Robert DeNiro—— “Awakenings”... dramatized true story of the experimentation with L-Dopa.

Williams actually had a form of dementia called Lewy Body Syndrome. The standard Alzheimers drugs, instead of making this form of dementia better for a while, can actually make it worse.
