Government says 'the risk of stigma' tied to the disease 'is great'
Most cases of monkeypox have been in gay and bisexual men, the United Kingdom's Health Security Agency announced Friday.
The government released a report Thursday night stating, "Investigations to date have identified links to gay bars, saunas and the use of dating apps in the UK and abroad."
A total of 207 cases of monkeypox have been identified in the U.K., DailyMail.com reported. Worldwide, 617 cases have been confirmed.
Despite the U.K. report and the CDC's determination that monkeypox does not spread easily through the air like COVID-19, DailyMail.com said: "Scientists are still unsure what is driving the current outbreak, now spotted in two dozen countries, given the virus is normally confined to people returning from Africa."
The British news site reported last week that the world's biggest gay dating app, Grindr, alerted users of monkeypox symptoms.
African nations have seen periodic monkeypox outbreaks since the virus was first discovered in humans in 1970.
Professor Kevin Fenton, London regional director for public health said monkeypox "can affect anyone but we know that many of the most recent diagnoses are in gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, many of whom live in, or have links to London."

In an article from Epoch Times, CDC wishes away the linkage of the pox to the queer and freak community in language so twisted I can’t begin to summarize it so here is is from the article:
“While a high proportion of individuals currently diagnosed with the disease are men who identify as gay, bisexual, or men who have sex with men (MSM), CDC cautions that the early cases may simply reflect an “early introduction into interconnected social networks” suggesting that the currently observed trends may be biased.
The health agency speculated that current observations of the disease mostly affecting MSM individuals may be due to selection bias by clinicians due to previous established medical relationships between MSM and some clinical STIs and infectious diseases.
The CDC warned that infections are often not confined to specific geographies or demographics “because close physical contact with infected persons can spread monkeypox, any person, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation, can acquire and spread monkeypox.””

Smallpox vaccine works against it’s cousins and siblings. Monkeypox, camelpox, rabbitpox and cowpox. If you are older than 1972 in the USA and 1985 in most parts of the world you are already 85% immune. Or in the US military after 2002 and served in the Asian theaters you then got the original smallpox vaccine and are largely immune. Young homos not so much.

Scientists earned a decade ago that with the eradication of smallpox it’s cousin that monkeypox would fill it’s ecological niche. There have been literally hundreds of studies since 1964 that confirm monkeypox as a human vector virus. It’s not some conspiracy as much as the qtards want it to be it’s not. The fact that humans have down to the individual DNA peptide sequencing now shows there is at least three strains in circulation.Right now indicating that the West African clade has been in circulation outside it’s endemic zone for some time now as in months or years. Stop with the tinfoil bullshit it doesn’t help with the actual situation at hand. Contact tracing , DNA sequencing and ring vaccination is the way to track and end this outbreak which is about to go pandemic it’s on 5 of seven continents and spreading human to human which by definition is the cross over from outbreak to pandemic.
