The Post has been leading the charge on digging up Hunter Biden’s sleazy influence-peddling operations and other shady business ventures since fall 2020. But to the great minds at Politico, we’ve merely milked “the personal life of the president’s son” as “daily fodder” while “his overseas business relationships remain a focus of major mainstream news outlets.”
Let’s get one thing clear: We were the ones shining bright lights on Hunter’s crooked deals in China, Ukraine and elsewhere. Those “mainstream media outlets” - including Politico - either averted their eyes or suggested it was all Russian disinfo, only to recant after their favored candidate (i.e., Hunter’s dad, a k a the “big guy”) was safely in the Oval Office.
That’s not focus: It’s obfuscation.
Politico’s line here is utter bull. And its attempt to assign after-the-fact credit on revealing Hunter’s ugly shenanigans to anyone but The Post is journalistic malpractice. It’s as transparent as the year-plus-late so-called “authentication” of our reporting by the New York Times and the Washington Post - and as pathetic.
Politico’s smearing sneer again exposes a festering problem in modern journalism: incestuous ties to government insiders, as journos fluff politicians to get access, hype up trivial non-stories and blow smoke around real governance issues (like, say, when the veep’s son was likely trying sell access to his dad, who then repeatedly lied about it before and after becoming president).
All in the service of protecting their insular, sanctimonious worldview, in which truth doesn’t matter if it comes from an unapproved source and narrative trumps everything else.
A line variously attributed to William Randolph Hearst and Lord Northwell sums it up nicely: “News is something somebody doesn’t want printed; all else is advertising.”

What should Republicans investigate first after winning the House?
I’ll take Treasonous Media for $1000, Alec.
What first?
How about a shower
A blood test
A urine test
And take it from there.
On War Room, they said the first item in January will be articles of impeachment of the Biden regime. Then next will be:
2) Investigate the COVID origins.
3) Block the open borders invasion ordered by Biden.
4) Investigate the 2020 election fraud. Arrest Zuckerberg.
5) Implement Nuremburg II proceedings. Arrest Fauci, Schwab Soros and Gates for the Great Reset conspiracy.
6) Appoint Stephen K Bannon as Grand Chief Inquisitor of the newly formed committee to investigate the “investigators” on the January 6 panel. This committee is going to make the Spanish Inquisition look like pikers for the pain/torture that is going to be dished out.
They will investigate just like they cooperated with Trump when he had the majority.
It’s the swamp. Conservatives have no say.
Don’t ho!d your breath.
Its a one party system installed by fraud.
Nothing will get done.
The first thing to investigate is 2020 election fraud. Won’t take much to find evidence. The laptop is already there to see. But they would have to first win the house and senate but most importantly they would have to be honest and not deep state. If they allow mail ins they won’t win.
IF the republican’ts retake the House, and that’s a huge IF, expect lots of kabuki theater, and absolutely NO substantive change whatsoever. You’re dreaming if you think the likes of Mitch McConnell or Kevin McCarthy are going to be much different than the democrats.
Your chickens, counting them before they hatch you are.
(What should Republicans investigate first after winning the House?)
Everything. With emphasis on “the Big Guy”.
Get Wray out of the FBI first.
What business is it of the Congress to investigate crimes? Only in the case of impeachment, in which case the targets are the elected and appointed officials, not their family.
Impeach and remove Garland if he is abusing his discretion.
Historically, any changes made by Congress have been to benefit the malfeasance, to give it better places to hide, and usually more money and employees.
Nothing…the GOP is useless at the federal level
The thing the Republican Congress should do is find out who the real President is? It is not Sniffer.
