This book is about thirty years old and it shines a light on what is happening today. Everything we see happening has been developing basically since at least 1850's.
It's a pretty breezy read for a 360 page book and can probably be read in completion in an afternoon by most people.
I do recommend reading it to get a better handle on the it.

They fix up a house believed to be haunted, and find Nazis and a printing press running off booklets “YOUR PLACE IN THE NEW ORDER”. Sach gets a great case of German Measles.
I was a young-in in the Clinton era.
I have never heard of this book until now.
