SUMTER COUNTY, Fla. - An argument between two men on the green at The Villages over golf etiquette led to one of them facing a battery charge, according to Sumter County deputies.
Richard Randell, 77, entered a not guilty plea for his alleged crime against his 84-year-old friend, court documents filed in late May confirmed.

a long mystery.
Probly needs DOJ action
Sounds like a Tim Conway/Harvey Korman skit.
Well, back against the wall, I’m leaning Montelban.
After all, he was Khan.
Full contact golf.
MMA-G.
The octagon ring, now with golf clubs and thrown golf balls for added dimension to the combatives.
Or, just keep it simple and go Bare Knuckle Championship Golf.
Oh, and for those that don’t know yet, Bare Knuckle Boxing is a thing now.

“I’d say by 84 it would be pronounced”
My brother-in-law has an advanced degree in aging studies, he said pretty much 83 is the turning point.
Florida’s friendliest home town . . .
You’ve never been to the Oil Man’s golf tournament in Midland TX. A whole new way to play golf.
The Villages also boasts unusually high rates of STD. very friendly!
I live in The Villages, in fact, the Courtyard Villa complex I live in is up against the De La Vista executive course. I could probably hit a wood from my driveway and land on the putting green.
There are a few kooks but you tend to just read about them in the paper. Everyone that lives around me are salt of the Earth types and strongly conservative.
I don't consider myself old. I'm in my 50s and there are other folks around my age too.
The Villages is an active community, if you're a shut in weirdo, this place ain't for you. There's simply too much to do and it keeps you out of the house and doing things.
“Oh that’s a peach, Hon.”
Never heard of it. Must be a crazy event?
<>Way too weird for most regular people to consider living in.<>
You’re right. The vast majority are from the Northeast and Midwest.
Well thats good to hear.
I thought there you have to have visitors out of your places by like 10 pm, no overnite guests and stuff like that
Lol, no, nothing like that.
The deed restrictions are pretty easy. You are restricted as to colors you can paint your house, but there is something in pretty much every range, it's easy to find something you like.
You can't have a car up on blocks in the driveway, large vehicles do have a limit. Like an RV can only be there 5 days. There's a limit on yard art in some of the Villages, but I don't live in one that has any limit.
You also have to understand that The Villages is _HUGE_. It's 150,000 residents, about 16 miles top to bottom and about 8 miles wide. There are 3 Squares and a 4th entertainment center is being built. All of it is golf cart accesible.
Also, no one is "from here". Everyone is from somewhere else, so you tend to get a mix of everything. I can't recall ever actually meeting someone who wasn't nice.
You kinda have to visit the place for at least a week to get some idea of what it's like. 60+ golf course, 40+ pools, games, sport, walking, hiking and around 5000 clubs that cover just about everything.
If you want to have a 40x60 garage and build sand rails or mud buggies, it's not for you.
If you want to live in some place that looks like Leave it to Beaver's neighbor hood? It's a pretty close match.
I just remember the bit Kathleen Madigan did on visiting her parents there.
I used to vacation down there when we had relatives in the state. The only thing that makes it difficult as a choice for me is I like terrain. I like hills and foothills and up and down scenery.
The Villages is an awesome place.
