What’s going on with electric power in the United States?

Rolling blackouts are just part of the plan.

I keep hearing about possible blackouts in the Midwest coming this summer. Even Texas is expecting rolling blackouts. This is an energy state with abundant natural gas. I have seen blackouts due to storms and other issues but never a prediction of blackouts just because it is summer and hot. While I am aware there has been an effort to “go green” by implementing solar and wind generation, together they account for around 4% of generation That’s hardly a blip in the greater scheme of things. Coal has historically been the baseload power generator. It has been systematically dismantled over the past decade and this has resulted in a net decrease in total available power in many areas.

While natural gas has risen to supplant coal as the United State’s largest energy source for electricity, total energy has not increased in 10 years. Due to economic conditions and government regulations, coal plants have been shuttered at a rapid rate since 2010. In the period 1993 to 2009, retirements averaged .36 GW per year and totaled 6.2 GW. In 2020 and 2021 retirements averaged 7.9 GW per year and 95.2 GW in total. Over the next five years, planned retirements will total over 24 GW. All this has been supplanted in part by natural gas. Some facilities converted to gas,

SNIP

We have an increasing population. The southern part of the USA will require additional electricity for air conditioning every year. We have a push for electric vehicles that will require more electricity. At the same time, attacks on natural gas follow as coal becomes less of a target. The Left is executing their long-held agenda to put us back in the dark ages, and they may succeed this time.

That is the plan. Cousteau lobbied for a reduction to 300 million for the planet, and the only way to accomplish that would be to eliminate carbon-based fuels.

Make no mistake, it’s a full court press on our autonomy!

A lot of very apathetic and totally dummied down voters are to blame

I have a 3800 watt generator to power my refrigeration, pump some water, and run my circulators for heat. No natural gas here, only propane. My very small generator burns 11 gallons of fuel in a 24 hour period under moderate load. At current prices that’s about $46.50 a day or about $1400.00 a month if I can even get the fuel.

“What’s going on? It will soon be off.”

Yep... Absolutely. This will be the reality soon. I know you are ahead of the game, so am I.

Eco Nazis are only part of the problem. The globalist monsters who drive this thing are using Sleepy Joe and his illicit ‘Presidency’ to force their green agenda, ‘cold turkey’, here and now!

His so called ‘Presidency’ is nothing but the platform for them to launch ALL their control mechanisms.

He's the perfect tool...a total cipher, without which they could not work under the radar (and increasingly in our faces, TOO) to achieve all their horrific and ruinous policies.

Joe is too far gone to challenge anything that's being done and he wouldn't anyway. He's complying with the deal he made, JUST to occupy the WH, so he hardly cares!

Most significantly, he certainly will not live long enough to bear direct, immediate or personal blame for what goes on.

Come on down South. We are building new nuclear units that will be going online soon. Plus all the other means. Plus we have a good relationship between utility and state governments.

Will blackouts and no air conditioning/no refrigerators in the middle of a hot summer - along with sky high gas and diesel prices - be enough to finally wake people up to how much sacrificing to Gaia is costing them? Or will they continue to let elites get away with imposing massive hardships on them just to satisfy their fetishes and personally profit from “green” energy investments?

The power grid is not supposed to regularly fail in a first world country. We were able to keep the power on without major interruptions as far back as the 40s and 50s.....maybe even the 30s.

Yes, I do think about 5-10% of people are waking up, which is enough to overcome Democrat fraud.

Illegals need electricity. It is the same reason that the highways are more crowded.

Don’t worry I am. I always have a plan B and C,D,E for that matter. You don’t take things lightly here in the boonies. We just can’t pop down to the store and get the things we need. Some common things I use can only be had by ordering and shipping or a 3 or 4 hour drive.

My MIL got a letter the other day saying her electricity costs will be 3 times higher next year. Warning her in advance. She’s not happy.

We are in the same situation. 75 miles to the nearest gas and groceries. It has already started for us, Our grid is going down for a couple days at a time every couple weeks average. They are now stealing our rural power to make the cities comfortable. But we have been small scale off grid solar/wind for years now. Our minimum priority is only food refrigeration, over the years we have learned to live without needing grid power for anything else. But we are fully set up and ready to process foods for long term storage without refrigeration when it does come to that and can live without any power at all.

Wind is not feasible for me. Solar is, tough. In the past year my solar system produced 59% of all the power we needed in my fairly large all-electric house with nice power hungry amenities like a hot tub. I'm in the process of upgrading the system and getting an EV to replace my wife's car. If my assumptions this time are as accurate as they were on what I've done so far, we'll produce about 90% of all the power we consume, even charging the EV to drive ~200 miles per week.

I looked at possible pico hydro power from the creek in my back yard. The idea being that when it rains for a day or two and I have little solar, I'd recoup some of that by the extra water in the creek from the rain powering a small water turbine. But I don't have enough head for it (vertical drop).

No, sir/mam, we did. And he we have done it. You don’t want to take some responsibility for it. That’s fine.

But when we continue to let the Chamber of Commerce, RNC, local and state GOP machines pick what candidates we vote for, that’s on us.

When we continue to pick the lesser of two evils or the evil we know, not even willing to give the other person a chance, that’s on us.

When a guys like Raffensberger and Kemp can walk away with it in primaries, that’s on us.

Everywhere I go I see the Gadsden Flag.

Everywhere I go I hear about how we have the 2nd Amendment.

Peaceful truckers rode into their nations capitol in Canada. Not so much here.

Everything that has happened in the last 18 months could be turned around with some unity. Not something we have.

If governors and legislatures from 26 states stood together all of it would stop. But that ain’t gonna happen. Not when we have governors like Kemp, Huchtison, Ivey and others sitting back and doing nothing.

Just read up about the Battle Of Athens. That’s how you right a wrong. And it doesn’t have to be done with rifles and dynamite, either.

https://m.theepochtimes.com/mkt_app/arizona-2020-election-results-may-have-been-different-if-20000-invalid-ballots-had-not-been-counted-report_4502315.html

And nothing will be done. The AG will do nothing about the criminal behavior in Maricopa Cty.

We just bought a Champion 5500 dual fuel inverter generator and plan to have an electrician install the secondary panel in our new house. You get 4,000 running watts which runs a whole RV including AC or all the major appliances, lights etc in your house. They’re pretty efficient and pretty quiet.

Keep the people distracted and in crisis.

An old, old Communist tactic. /shiny side out
