Kate Bush - Yes.
Cori Bush - No. Hell no.
Years ago the lesser known Claudia Brucken (with Andrew Poppy) did a scaled down covers album with Kate’s song on it…
I adored her
Guilty.
Downloaded a tab, and have been playing that stupid song all day for the grandkids. Simple tune, but catchy.
I think it sounds better without the 80s synthesizer vamp imho.
Good news this. Perhaps the folks listening to it will get turned onto Eno, Talking Heads, Peter Gabriel that are in her circle circa that time.
My favorite is her on Games Without Frontiers singing Je Sans Frontier. So chilling.
I tried watching Season 4 of STRANGER THINGS last week.
It is totally unwatchable. All drugs and homos, all the time.
This will be the last season.
Get woke, go broke.
Placebo did a good cover of it:
It seems like someone else covered it, but I can’t think of who that is now.
The original MTV video was pure bliss and blissiosity.
Can’t even find it now.

And never forget Babooshka

And she was quite the looker back in the 80's.
Placebo’s version is intriguing.
Kate Bush was “discovered” by David Gilmour (Pink Floyd) who played geetar on this live version of “Running Up That Hill” from “Secret Policemen’s Ball - 1987”

I would never say I was a strict follower of Roman Catholic belief, but a lot of images are in there; they have to be; they're so strong. Such powerful, beautiful, passionate images! There's a lot of suffering in Roman Catholicism. I think I'm looking for not necessarily religion, but ways of helping myself to become more understanding, more complete, a happier person ... But I really don't think I've found a niche.Keep looking, Kate. You're seeking because he's drawing you.

This song would wake me up if I was asleep because I would want to listen to it.
On this new Stranger Things I basically found myself captured by this music, and found myself just listening to it, and I zoned out on the story.
Kate Bush really is something else.
I missed most of the 80’s musically (due to school and early career). She is way more than fading disco and an 80’s sound.
Thanks for the post and to everyone for the illuminating comments.
Wow - Kate Bush today, Siouxsie the other day. All I need is some Lene Lovich to hit my 3 favorite females from 70’s - 80’s rock.
