According to emergency calls and surveillance footage, Ramos crashed the vehicle he was driving in a ditch at 11:30 a.m. Immediately after, the teacher who propped the door open ran back inside to retrieve a phone. Then the teacher returned to the propped door, calling 9-1-1, noticed the shooter nearing the school, panicking and ran inside, leaving the door open.
Then, at 11:33 a.m, Ramos entered the building and began shooting into the classrooms

Agree...Take down the school...build a memorial.
So let's pay even more taxes to build a new school?
It’s not her job to investigate a car crash.
It’s her job, in a lockdown, to stay with her kids in a locked room.
My hubby wondered if he covered several schools or just this one.
If the SRO left school #1 to go to school #2, schools #1 would be a sitting duck.
Or, someone opened it on purpose.
Not her job other people have phones.
I am beginning to think the teacher or whoever propped the door open is an accomplice. They sure are not going to release a name.
When the armed school resource officer drove right by the shooter where did he/she go after that?
I was wondering the same thing. One report said RO thought a teacher out back was the shooter.
Who was that teacher and why didn’t shooter kill them?
Shooter was firing at the school building as he got closer.
Was he firing at the teacher that propped the door open?
If getting a nicotine fix was that distracting for this “teacher”, then she needs a different occupation.
Like weighing trucks at the county dump or as a street sweeper.
No offense to street sweepers.
me neither
most folks keep their phones with them all the time
even at work or in church
Why didn’t the cops who were there inside the hall (just outside of the classroom door) also have cops posted on the outside of the classroom where they could shoot him through the windows?
Why did it take so long to find the key to unlock the door? Where was the janitor?
Why didn’t they use breaching charges to open the door?
The Uvalde Police Department trained about nine previous for an active shooter scenario. You would think that they would have had all the equipment necessary such as ballistic shields and breeching charges, armor, etc. to do their job instead of waiting for a federal border patrol agent to show up.
trained about nine weeks previous
thank you for your insightful and professional opinion
I agree
This is not just sloppy business

Buying guns illegally. Propping doors. Stealing from walgreens.
Rules are for breaking. like Russion just prior to the bolsheviks taking over....shortly all laws will be ignored, by plan.
There’s footage on NY Post of the killer with a bag containing a dead cat. Sick kid.
There was a report the ‘door prop’ teacher was one that was killed.
Hope we get to see the video of this because it makes no sense for her to run from a shooter and LEAVE THE DOOR OPEN.
Bizarre.
Who the h*** is this criminal?
