State Farm learns the wokey lesson.
A hundred years ago George Mecherle perceived his neighbors in rural Illinois were paying too much for insurance, so he started a company to sell car insurance to farmers. An early innovation of his was offering better rates for those who didn’t drink and drive. Today his company, State Farm Mutual Insurance Company, is the largest property and casualty insurer in the U.S with 57,000 employees. But I expect George, were he still alive, might be frowning at State Farm’s woke management team shooting themselves in the corporate foot last week.
Today State Farm generates close to eighty billion dollars in annual revenues, thanks to its 18,000 captive agents, who can sell only State Farm products. Recently State Farm felt moved to enhance its diversity and inclusion image, by enlisting their captive agents in distributing free books for young children to local schools and libraries.
There does appear to be a low level of children’s literacy in this country, especially in some minority communities. So, did State Farm include these popular children’s books of 2021?

Instead, State Farm opted to donate books regarding transgenderism and gender fluidity to encourage what State Farm described as “challenging, empowering, and important conversations” with children as young as age five. Could there be other reasons? Sure, but my money’s on Wokeism.
Many years ago we also had all our insurance with State Farm.
After a local storm we had some roof damage on our home. We had total replacement insurance. But State Farm refused to replace the roof...only approved patching it. Reason they gave...the roof was too old. Why pay to total replacement if they won’t honor it? And our agent did not help us. We also cancelled all our insurance with them. And we always tell our friends to never go with State Farm.
State Farm is internally woke, too.
Their press release said they would ‘find other avenues.’

The original Jake was a real State Farm call center employee. When they made a series of commercials they went with a hired (and probably focus group tested) actor.

I don’t think it’s so much that as that the people that run these corporations have no backbone.
It’s a bit like The Godfather They get approached by some activist trans mafia. They are told that they will make them an offer they can’t refuse. They would rather not go home and find a bloody horse’s head in their bed, so they take the “offer”.
It’s really as simple as that.
So should we on the right respond? How do we deal with this winning strategy of theirs that is undermining our values and what we believe in?

Ain’t he though? It’s getting bad the world over. The WEF seems to be the Manger in which he will be born too, but his spirit is moving mightily these days. And it’s world-wide. That’s what’s so striking to me about. Nearly every major city in the world has a gay pride parade. The vaxx that’s not really a vaxx now keeps you from freely traveling. MOtB technology continues to advance; and the precursor can be found in a lot of places.
