The mother of a Texas school shooting victim was told by first responders that her daughter may have survived the massacre if authorities had acted quicker.
The fourth-grader, who was among the 19 students killed at Robb Elementary in Uvalde on Tuesday, bled to death after being shot in her kidney.
'Her child had been shot by one bullet through the back through the kidney area,' State Sen. Ronald Gutierrez told CNN Sunday morning. 'The first responder that they eventually talked to said that their child likely bled out. In that span of 30 or 40 minutes extra, that little girl might have lived.'
The Democrat argued that 'many things went wrong' when local police responded to the massacre and said he was 'disgusted' by law enforcement's failure to take action.
Police admitted Thursday that officers didn't immediately rush into the school to find gunman Salvador Ramos, 18, during Tuesday's attack because they feared they might be killed, and even suggested that they deliberately locked Ramos in the classroom where he slaughtered 21 people in order to trap him.

Meantime, witnesses, including a little girl who ultimately died, made at least seven calls to 911 asking for help. However, police did not breach the classroom and kill Ramos until 12.50pm.
With each passing day, this fiasco becoming more and more like a Broward County meme....../s
Given the present day DOj (large D & O, small j for obvious reasons), any bets this will be a MSNBC/CNN level joke?
And as everyone knows that is the only important thing.
Your heroes in blue everybody!
Please clap.

Screw the DOJ, let the Texas Rangers do the investigating.
Chilling and devastatingly sad. I expect she’s not the only one who could’ve been saved if the cops had done their job. They. Had. ONE. JOB!
Eli Crane Gives Reality Check To Parents On School Safety (May 27, 2022)

Gun law are not the solution. Being prepared at the school is.
This is an example of it is to late to wait when they happen. Instant response is the solution.
Hard transition from what is taught to teachers.
Back the Yellow
Now THAT is a very real impact of this sad performance.
She shouldn’t have been told that
First responders aren’t doctors. They do not know that.
Wanted to rile people up that were already riled up
“Screw the DOJ, let the Texas Rangers do the investigating.”
That’s actually a good idea. That’s why it will be ignored.
Emotional speculation is more important than facts, even on FR.
Did I not support the police?
I said, sure I did when they are doing or even trying to do the right thing. But that I did not blindly support anything or anyone.
I do not expect the police to be perfect. There was only one perfect person and look what they did to Him. And I will give people the benefit of doubt as much as I can as long as they are, in general, trying to do right.
But police culture has taken a very wrong turn. Maybe it is all the TV shows but something has gone sour. And I know people get upset and claim it is no big deal but I really hate it when the police call citizens "civilians". Unless they are MP's they are civilians too. Police are not the military.
They said "may", which is a perfectly reasonable response. And people should be riled up, especially since whomever was the decision-maker has yet to come forward and explain his reasoning.
