Two boys, at the time 13 and 14, were arrested in 2018 for planning a Columbine-inspired attack on an Uvalde school — in 2022. The boys, who were not named at the time of their arrests, would be 17 and 18 now.
Earlier this week, an 18-year-old young man shot and killed 19 students and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
At the time of the teen’s arrests, Uvalde Chief of Police Daniel Rodriguez said that a Morales Junior High School student, 14, and a former Morales student, 13, were planning to conduct the attack four years from then.
“The investigation revealed that the students were infatuated with the Columbine High School shootings and identified themselves to the shooters. The investigation uncovered that the students even referred to themselves using the Columbine shooter’s names,” Rodriguez said in a press release, which local station KENS5 reported at the time.
“Investigators also believe the students were planning to hold the attacks years from now during their senior year, on the anniversary of the Columbine shooting. However, one of the students began to convince the other that they should move the attacks up to this year,” the report said.
“One of the students had numerous writings and drawings which depicted weapons capable of causing mass destruction. He wrote about being ‘God-like’ and killing police and other persons. He had an academic analysis of one of the Columbine shooter’s journals,” the release stated.

The boys could both be 18 now if the 13 year old was about to turn 14. Still could be Ramos was the 13 year old. Will they ever look into this, and let us know the TRUTH? Or is TRUTH out the window, as it so often seems to be these days?
I have lost trust in the institutions that were supposed to be for our welfare. They just aren’t. It’s all a sham. You have to watch out for and protect yourself. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. You can only count on yourself and a few other trusted friends or loved ones. That’s it.
Don’t expect a darn thing from anyone. Help won’t ever come. It’s up to you. Put on your armor every day, so that you can stay ahead.
If anything called for a grand jury-type investigation, this thing certainly does.
It’s bizarre.
Every detail about the decisions, etc.
Everything.
I think if Ramos was one of those two boys, it would be out by now. Someone that worked at the facility or was in the facility with him would have outed him by now.
Stupid of DPS not to address that rumor asap, though.
I undersstand some legimate need for keeping some juvenile justice records sealed, to some degree or another, but I think “mass shooter” themes in a teen’s record is NOT a matter to be sealed.
But, but, they were trying to turn their lives around and were on a promising career path to be heavy metal lyricists with a fallback plan to be serial murderers.

There’s something called permission-giving behavior. Suppose an elderly woman robs a bank. That will likely be followed by several elderly women robbing banks. The copycats are unstable people primed to do “something” but don’t have anything specific in mind. The same is true with school shooters. Also, it has become fashionable and “romantic.” They are desperate to be the center of attention and the fact that they may die really doesn’t register. Probably in the case of the kids you’d find that the parents are largely absent in their lives. They’d like nothing more than having the attention of their (most likely) father. But he’s either absent, abusive, or ignores them.
Tie their juvenile record to any Driver's license application, so the flag pops up when they turn 18.
This story needs to be put to rest.
If one of these kids was the murderer, then they need to say so.
The script is the same in all these incidents. Known threat, everyone knew he was nuts, gained access thru unsecure door, incompetent resource officers, late police response. Nothing done afterwards. Our schools need to be designed like Israeli schools; single point access, security guards, etc.
Some people were casing schools, then, and decided this one had weak security. There’s a rumor that the Buffalo shooter had a social media “friend” who turned out to be FBI. The question is whether FBI was just keeping an eye on him or guiding him.
This kid might’ve been missed. He didn’t have a driver’s license.
But he must have had some form of ID in order to work and get paid.
Hmmm...whatever I.D he used to prove his age....
Tx Rep Gonzalez claimed one of the boys mention was the killer during F&F’s. Reporter at scene claimed at the time he had spoke with Texas Rangers who said it wasn’t him. Gonzalez walked back his claim later in the day.
No one is saying whether these youths had been diagnosed with ADHD and had been on Adderall, Ritalin,
Zoloft, Paxil, or some other psychotropic drug.
..And if they were, we will likely never be told that they have joined the legions of other young men drugged out of their
minds to the point of murderous rampage.

I lived in communist Massachusetts for 15 yrs and when 1 of my 3 sons was in elementary school there was a group of people who called a meeting to discuss my son’s behavior. This was at the height of their introduction of Ritalin. They said they gave my son an examination to evaluate his behavior. They said that he expressed ADHD because of the way he exited his examination room to go play on the playground. Upon my further inquiry he had been in this examination for THREE HOURS and when they told him he could finally go outside and play on the playground, HE RAN out of the room. Imagine that an elementary school child super exited about being able to go outside and play after 3 hours of testing that must seem quite strange to him anyhow.
They recommended he be placed on Ritalin to control his behavior. I called them all out on their qualifications to be prescribing my son drugs? They had NO qualifications and they admitted that but they had ability to put him on drugs if I agreed. I not only disagreed I refused and I laid into them for being the Marxist scum bags they were. They had their marching orders and going to march to them.
