Co-written by Richard Starkey and George Harrison, this was the lead single from Ringo's self-titled 1973 album

That was the first record I ever bought, picture sleeve for 69 cents at Barkers of Wallingford, CT. Follow-ups were Jim Croce and the Hollies. I couldn’t afford albums.
Such a great song. Beautiful arrangement with a bit of sad in the lyrics.
I saw Paul McCartney in Hollywood, FL last night (Hard Rock Casino) and it was phenomenal. Ringo is playing the same venue in a month and my better half will drag me to that as well. Both of these guys are in remarkable shape and put on an impressive show. Long may they run.
In the mid 70’s I was walking out of the Space Mountain ride at Disneyland when someone gave me push from behind, I turned and was standing face to face with Ringo. One of his body guards apparently didn’t think the crowd was moving fast enough.
We love you, Ringo,
Oh, yes, we do.
No matter where you go,
We’ll follow you.
When you’re not near to us,
We’re blue.
Oh, Ringo, we love you!

I was driving through the night (about 9 yrs ago, OTR 18 wheeler) listening to ‘kook to kook AM’ (actually ‘coast to coast AM’), and Noory was interviewing a fellow that had done a LOT of research concerning people going missing in our national parks. It was both sad and weird stuff, but it helps keep one awake late a night I suppose.
They broke for commercial, the bumper music being that song, which made me chuckle briefly. They came back from break, the bumper song being ‘another park, another sunday’ by the doobie brothers. I couldn’t help laughing loudly that time.
Ringo for President--The Young World Singers
No kidding.. Couldn’t help but get up and start doing The Twist while listening.

Oh man.
They HAD to do that on purpose.
Love that song.
A Letter from Elaina--Casey Kasem
I lost my god-son a few years ago to a rare form of cancer; he was the eighth case on record. They finally realized treatment wasn’t working and palliative care was all they could do.
He was at a well-known cancer center in New York and there was a knock on the door. A fellow with a guitar came in, said he used to be in a band and wanted to play a bit and talk. 45 minutes later he autographed the Taylor guitar and left it with Justin who died two weeks later.
And that’s why Paul is my favorite Beatle.
OMG!
Talk about a blast from the past.
I can still hear that song in my head, now that you brought it up.
Part of the mania...
He was a fine guitar player but left that to George and John. Smart guy who knew the value of developing a library if dongwriting credits. And as evidenced by what you say a good and very decent man.

October, 1973...
He wrote songs with his dong? Gee, that's almost as exciting as Zelenskyy playing the piano with his penis ...
Thank you for sharing that story.
I understand he does that as a personal mission. His first wife died of cancer, you’ll remember. I’ve heard that Paul Simon and James Taylor do something similar but I’m not sure and none of them make any noise about it.
