Did you guys hear about the drummer from YES dying?

To: Recovering_Democrat
Extra sad... the drum kit he played when in the Plastic Ono Band, among other memorabilia, was stolen about 2 or 3 months ago (Seattle area, where he lived) .
Some has been recovered but not that special drum kit.

Top notch drummer. Saw him with YES in Long Beach on the ‘79 Tormato tour. “In the round.”

I saw Yes 3 times back in the day, once In The Round. A very talented group of musicians.

The years have passed too quickly.
What a great band. A great drummer. RIP, Alan White.

Bill Bruford was their original drummer.

Sad. I also saw that Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode died as well at age 60.

I loved the old LP record cover artwork. CDs cover art was too small to enjoy.
Now we just download MP3s and MP4s.
Yes can trace its roots back to 1968 and is still performing.
Few bands of any era can claim that longevity.

One of my favorite bands. The Three LP “Yessongs” was my introduction to the band. The art work of Roger Dean is immortal.

When I was 13 there were radio ads for a concert that I could not figure out who was playing.
Radio promoter voice> “Coming on Saturday to the Sportatorium, one of the most exciting bands today, yes in full concert sound, yes tickets available Peaches Records don’t miss them”.
