North Dakota is not a sanctuary state. Some bad reporting a decade ago is still floating around, but it isn’t, and wasn’t a sanctuary state.
My GF has an eerily similar situation in her family. Her mom is having to raiser her 16 YO nephew because my GF’s sister is an irresponsible methhead.
He’s gender dysmorphic, addictive behavior, has run away twice and has reported his grandmother to CPS because she won’t pay for transition surgery; he even threatened to kill his grandmother and sister over it. He was sent to psychiatric therapy provided by the state, where at the first meeting the “doctor” asked him how soon he wanted to transition....without spending as much as minute trying to figure out who he is and how he came to where he was.
I actually had to check early reports to find out this happened on the other side of the state.
It used to be when we visited, I never disarmed and never slept. I finally had to put my foot down and tell the GF if I was going there, I would stay in a hotel with or without her.......
