(I did not shoot the burglar. I pointed a laser dot on his head and let the cats do the rest. )
With any luck, it will take out New Jersey

You’d think that with 29,000 near-Earth objects we could get lucky just once...

Will miss by 30 million miles. Too close to call.

I give this prayer to God. Please make the meteor split into small enough pieces to land and destroy the top 20 most populated democrat/globalist cities. Amen. /sarc

Well now I know the answer to the eternal question, “Where is SMOD when we need him” (close but no cigar).

Kinda wish it wouldn’t miss.
With the socialist infected world right now, its such a target rich environment.

2.5 million miles in space terms is kind of a close shave.

Well, thanks at least for the addition to the headline.
I hate getting my hopes up, then having them dashed by the details in the body of the post.

Maybe it was the crazy kid who was hit by a car in 1955.

Everyone should stop crying wolf over things passing millions of miles away. Pretty stupid overall. How about we focus on closer objects, say within the moon’s orbit?

A 1.8km asteroid - if it hit Earth - would cause local devastation and grief but would not be the "big one". Sort of like a Tunguska event. The Chicxulub crater was a mass extinction event and was about 10 km in size or so.
I don't scoff at these things and I am glad this one will miss us.
