Of course Shelby voted to give that money to Ukraine. What does he care? He’s got his millions to retire with. And Alabamians better watch out, because their choice of R’s that are running are squishy. Thank you Senator Tuberville for the no vote.

There was no reason to think that Russia was going to attack Ukraine. They promised they had no intention of invading.

Actually, they seized part of Ukriane, bloodlessly, in 2014. Then they have been engaged in hostile activities in Ukraine in the Donbass region for several years. So, an invasion wasn't shocking.

In the larger sense, though, why does it help American interests to have a proxy war against Russia? In the last two wars in Europe, they were actually our ally. And we currently have no specific reason to be at war with them in any case. They have become a favorite villain of the left, but that's more propaganda than actuality.

Why is Russia our enemy? And why are we spending billions of dollars, (that we don't have, and will be added to our debt) to fight Ukraine's enemy? Why are Ukraine interests our interests, all of a sudden?

Because Ukraine was/is a sovereign country for 30 years.

Russia's attack on Ukraine violates the international norms. It violates what the UN was developed to try to stop. An attack on one sovereign country is an attack on all. It sets a horrible precedent if left unchallenged.

We weren't looking to have a "proxy war with Russia". Russia started this and we are just helping Ukraine. Just like the rest of the world is helping because they recognize what Russia is doing is wrong and evil.

There are now 6 million refugees from Ukraine. And who knows how many deaths. How big does a war have to be, before you are willing to stand up to an agressor?

An attack on one sovereign country is an attack on all.

Do you really believe this?

It's not true, by the way.

Maybe US Bio labs in Ukraine was a poor choice..

Maybe Biden as President and Hunter using Ukraine as a piggy bank was a poor choice.

Maybe Ukraine isn’t as Sovereign as the world peddles

Biden as President was definitely a poor choice.

It was a Russian leaning Oligarch who hired Hunter in Ukraine. And it was an honest Attorney General that Biden used $1 billion in US aid to get fired.

So Ukraine didn’t corrupt the Bidens. The Bidens corrupted Ukraine. And there was Russian influence behind it.

"The DC Sewer picked Ukraine because both are corrupt"

Nobody's perfect. There are now over 6 million refugees, because of Russia's actions.

Sucks to be the host of a proxy war between two Superpowers..

That’s what Ukraine is.
A proxy.
For the DC Sewer

They chose poorly.
Or had no choice..

Ukraine was/is a sovereign country for 30 years.

The soviets set Ukraine up as a separate country. Ukraine being separate and having their own UN vote was a condition at Yalta. Stalin insisted on a separate Ukraine.

It’s clear that the people of Ukraine value their sovereignty and are willing to fight to retain it.

Wrong. Libtards like you engage in reductionism to the point of “Putin bad” and think anything past that is deflection whereas I prove my conservative bonafides by the stances I take concerning liberalism and liberals.

And you deflect back to me, accuse me of it, confirming you aren’t a conservative when anyone here would have no difficulty or problem explaining what I asked for because their track record shows it whereas your track record doesn’t show your anti-Soros, anti-liberal, Anti-Biden, Anti-Klaus, pro-conservatice Benavides, and I’ll make sure to point that out repeatedly.

“That’s four billion pounds of explosives, or enough for one pound of explosive per square foot for about 800 square miles, annually.”

Math error (again!)

More like 150 square miles

The DC Swamp set them up..

They chose the wrong team. Team Vindman. Team Pelosi. Team Biden.
Team DC Swamp

Same Team that stole an election, robs Ukraine.

That’s the team that has to lose..
Team Deep State. Team DC Swamp..

Trump didn’t beat Team DC Swamp
It’s Putin’s turn

The war we must be fighting is guarding our border against millions of illegal aliens.

After we get our border under control then we can start talking about borders in Europe.
