The highest bid came in just under $45.8 million, according to the seller Alex Khadavi...Khadavi — who owes tens of millions of dollars to several creditors, according to court filings — had hoped the auction would precipitate a sale price large enough to cover his debt.

However, according to the court, the auctioneer must accept the highest bid when a property is part of a bankruptcy settlement.
Hard to believe that Khadavi did not understand that.
This idiot knew that. I’m in Real Estate and sellers are always throwing their Realtor under the bus. Rarely take the blame.
Hydraulic DJ booth, that’s what stopped me from bidding 😂😂😂😂

Didn’t know that, but it makes sense. What an IDIOT Khadavi is...you’d think he’d have a lawyer or two, even if broke.
All windows, no walls!
That’s one gaudy, ugly 47 million dollar pile of crap. Some one should commit that architect.
I sold my last "big house" three years ago and have been in a small condo since (and debt-free).
I've learned over the years that a simple life is a happy life.
This cologne soaked ding-a-ling self-selected the market for his house - billionaire lounge lizards with 1.5 million dollar cars to park in their living rooms. How many of those exist out there.
The jacuzzi is too small.
Confucius say: He who lives in glass house should dress in basement.
I love the house but after experiencing the Northridge quake in 1994, the quantity of glass is frightening.
After my freshman year at Cincinnati, my wife-to-be and I moved to Hollywood and experienced a fair share of quakes - certainly not to the level of the Northridge.
We returned to Ohio in ‘73 and the land of tornadoes including a F5 that destroyed a small nearby town.
Just a few years ago we had 5 tornadoes (at night) that struck 5 minutes from my front door.
So there’s danger wherever you live...

Amen, Brother! It’s dreadful, IMO. I wouldn’t live in there. I’d prefer my 700-sq. ft. duplex in the ‘70s. At least it was cozy.
It looks to be real sturdy in those big California earthquakes.
Just curious, is there a cap on condo fees? I hear some nightmarish stories about assessments of 20 or 30k for condos.
No curtains, no walls = no privacy.
(And 15 million illegal aliens coming over his unfenced borders.)
The condo I’m in has an HOA. It does go up every year like everything else. I don’t think there’s a cap as to how much it can go up but if your HOA is well run, it should not be excessive. Make sure your HOA has enough reserve funds built up to handle unexpected repairs as otherwise they can hit you with an assessment from time to time.
That looks like a dentist office.
