Thanks, though such videos that are used to teach what is easily read are a poor substitute for the latter. But to know how to change the water pump on an old Toyota...
The guy joked around for two minutes and I gave up. Silliness. A simple list of 20 items with brief explanation why would be best but it’s going to be a different 20 items for everyone based on locale.

Nothing but posts with links to the How Do Gardener so you are likely him or him is you. We do have a Weekly Garden Thread here on FR. Have you ever participated or do you just plan to pimp your youtube channel??
Smart money already has the seed stock and printed instructions stored already.
I scrolled overhalf way before I saw a list. Here it is:
Beets
Broccoli
carrots
cabbage
eggplant
greenbeans
kale
lettuce
onions
peas
peppers
potatoes
radishes
sweet potatoes
swiss chard
tomatoes
winter squash
fruit trees and bushes
herbs
The guy used to write a weekly gardening column for the local Liberty Hill, Texas newspaper. Enjoyed reading it. He now does a YouTube Channel. Since I figured someone else probably posts from big newspapers, magazines and such so I post these videos when I find them useful. Sorry I’m not posting from The New York Times or anything like that.
Thank you. Youtubers trying to suck our lives away.
How can you not include zukes and summer squash?
It does indeed. Some of the crops surprised me like beets and radishes.
In other words, all of the most commonly grown things except for corn. I would add corn, even corn meal/flour type corn. Easy to save seed too.
Again. We do have a Weekly Garden Thread here on FR. Have you ever participated?
If this is something that interests you, why not participate in the weekly thread?
Sounds pretty much like my garden.
Beets make sense to me. Root crops can be good storing veggies.
My grandparents were from the old country, the Ukraine, and beets are a staple there.
If the deer and crows don’t get it first.
“The guy joked around for two minutes and I gave up.”
This.
What in the world was this guy thinking?
I don’t mean to sound stupid, but even after years of FREEPing, I usually just comment and reply to comments. How exactly do I participate in the weekly gardening thread. I am interested in that and I seriously don’t know how to do so.
I was never a big beet person, but last fall I planted a few. Really like the greens so far, tastes better than kale, but haven’t eaten the roots yet.
Great info. Thanks for posting.
Here’s this week’s. https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/4063183/posts
They’re posted every Saturday morning and ‘Diana in Wisconsin’ who runs the weekly thread can add you to a list so you get a ping for every new Saturday thread. Just reply to Post #1 and ask to be added to the ping list. Pings are like this reply and you get the “New Posts To You” at the top of the page. Other than that, it’s just a matter of commenting/replying which you obviously know hot to do.
