This is the same band that accompanied the Zappa "hologram" in 2019. I saw them. It is an outstanding band. Keneally alone and his "I can play the keyboard and guitar in unison simultaneously" move is worth the price of admission.

No, it's not Dweezil, who is a masterful musician. Dweezil's band, Zappa Plays Zappa, is also spectacular.

More Zappa is better than less. Since Gail colossally mismanaged Frank's legacy, a generation of people don't know of Frank's power and creativity. Hopefully, these and other tribute bands like Project: Object (from Ike Willis) keep his legacy live so he doesn't die out like Elvis may in 20 years.

Saw Dweezil’s band. They were a collection of masterful musicians

As far as I’m concerned, he is the rightful heir to the kingdom.

That being said- the Zappa Band rocks.

Saw Zappa on the Joe’s Garage tour.

It’s an experience I’ll never forget.

I had a neighbor who was infatuated with Frank Zappa.

I am not a fan but appreciate the creative names he gave his children.

His brother was strange too, but he did have a series of top 100 pop hits.

I only met him a few times cause he was attending Julliard, and only back rarely.

I’m old enough to remember Frank Zappa and Tipper Gore had a spat over ‘Rock Porn’ … Zappa said, ‘They’re just words’ … today he’d be banned

Little Zappa story (I saw him circa 68-70): he would occasionally put the sheet music (yes, they used sheet music) on the musicians stands himself. But he would mixup the opening song among a half-dozen different songs. When everyone started to play, they played something different & Zappa thought that was hysterical.
