Former first lady Melania Trump has slammed Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, for never putting her on the cover when her husband was president, in her first interview since leaving the White House.
Fox Nation host Pete Hegseth raised the topic in his sit down with Melania, noting that first ladies Jill Biden, Michelle Obama, and Hillary Clinton have all appeared on the cover of Vogue and that Vice President Kamala Harris got the honor even before she was sworn in.
“They’re biased and they have likes and dislikes, and it’s so obvious. And I think American people and everyone sees it. It was their decision, and I have much more important things to do—and I did in the White House—than being on the cover of Vogue,” Melania said.

Too bad Wintour didn’t interview and put Melania on cover—sales for that edition would have quadrupled...
Damn, looks like a lot lizard.
h/t to all the truckers out there.
I agree. Do you think many of the posters from the early days arent on FR any more? There’s definitely a hopeless, downer attitude that didn’t used to be here.
It’s similar, when I see another bombshell I roll my eyes, and say, oh goody, I just love bombshells.
It wasn’t just Vogue. I never saw Melania’s lovely face on any of the wahmen’s mags on the racks at the grocery store checkout.
But he can’t get his picture on the cover of the rolling stone, or he would buy 5 copies for his mother. 😀
She’s waiting on the 10:15 to Nutley.
The hilarious comedy, knowing all the time Big Mike was a man.......................
If they had put Melania on the cover, they’d still be printing copies to meet demand.
Why do I suspect that this is the type of “woman” who cannot get pregnant?
Sadly, that’s the case. A lot of the best from the halcyon days have left us.
Who reads what passes for “fashion” these days? Half the models are the ugly offspring of washed up parents and the rest are trans/fluid/gendered nutjobs. Most on the runways are nearly naked anyway. Wear a bandaid and you are “fashionable” these days. No thanks. I long for yesteryear.
I hate it when reporters pull this crap.
Those paying attention understand about half the country feels like that. This is no surprise. The corrupt in D.C. attempted to undermine, compromise and criminally overthrow a legitimate presidential candidate and then a sitting president. And what happened? Nothing...No charges, no convictions, zip nothing. What happened to the forensic audits regarding massive fraud in our elections? Zip nothing, down a rat hole.
These are just a few examples of why some have developed cynical and negative attitudes. I could go on for 20 paragraphs about the sabotage they call policies. Those who are not cynical and outraged by the left, are clearly not paying attention.
I thought for sure that was a ‘shop job. It’s not. That’s exactly what “she” looks like. And what the heck is that on “her” upper lip?
I have no explanation for her appearance. But I do know she’s in no position to criticize anyone else’s fashion sense, especially Melania’s!
I think she was reported to have said in a private conversation some years ago, ‘If they want pictures, let them go to Getty’.
She’d been photographed since she was 16; I doubt being featured in Vogue mattered to her at all by the time she was First Lady. Some people actually move on from the shallow ‘fashion life’.
So when news sources interview her and ask her direct questions about the way she was treated in the media, she should change the subject or run away like Dubya did whenever he was attacked? I don't think so.
And I most certainly don't think she, or what she said about the obvious bias in the fashion industry, is in any way stupid. Your comment, however...
I happened to find this early thread from 2005. Of the first 60 respondents, only about 5 are from people still here/active. We lost a lot of people during the Trump campaign, but we’ve been bleeding them for years since (I wouldn’t doubt that the Q invasion had something to do with it too):

I printed out and saved the FreeRepublic live thread from September 11, 2001. Many of the comments were from people personally witnessing various aspects of the attacks that day. All of the comments are worth reading.
I plan to pass it on to my grandchildren. As we are well aware, anything on the internet can be changed at the whim of a tech oligarch...maybe soon by a government “disinformation” specialist. Case in point, the definition of the word “vaccine.”
