CRAZY KATHY, a DD214 is not about "entering" the military, it's about LEAVING the military, and your "uncharacterized" withdrawal from service IS A RED FLAG.

It would take me a couple of hours to find mine even now.

I used them to get what I needed or had to show after service and then put them away. Once in 1977 to enter NATS and get the GI Bill and then a few years later to prove I entered service in Georgia to get a free drivers license (this is great - no fees every time I renew)..

husband’s name is Dan Hummel

That is the name of the Mrs. Hummel's husband, both quoted in the article, not Kathy Barnette's husband's name.

CORRECTION

I overlooked that she was USAR (reserves). In that case she probably completed her training as a Personnel Specialist and then discharged from what is referred to “Active Duty for Training” or “ADT” and is supported by the discharge reason of completion of required service. This is common when people enter reserves. It starts with them being placed on active duty for initial training of boot camp followed by specialty training school for their MOS. After that they come off active service and are in reserves. Again, this is very common and does not indicate a problem.

The separation authority was “AR 635- 200, CHAPTER 4,” and the separation code was “JBK.” According to Army Regulations, these designations mean that the veteran was involuntarily discharged for completion of required active service.

Basic training end dd214...u and the rest of u idiots are idiots.

The DD214 states that she was attending an 8 week course for Administrative Specialists. Anyone making a big deal of it can't read Army documentation. I'm retired Air Force, but spent a fair amount of my time working with Army folks since the equipment I worked on the last half of my career was managed by the US Army. Also attended one Army school, at Ft. Gordon, GA.

And my DD214 states that all I did in a 24 years career was SATCOM, which is not true. Started as a aircraft mechanic, and retrained to still photographer after messing up my knees. Then retrained again half-way through my career into SATCOM.

WRM, MSgt, USAF(Ret.) 1973-1997.

THANK YOU! But doubt that will end the stabbing frenzy since the actual complaint being resolved is not important.

You have it. And if you were running for office you’d get your hands on it. It’s more vital than in getting a license renewed

The discharge tech looked me in the eye and said- do not ever lose this. I imagine they are taught and trained to say that to everyone.

That is not the point. My God. The point is Kathy said that her DD214 reflected 3 years of service and an Honorable discharge.
It does not show that at all.— Sean Parnell (@SeanParnellUSA) May 14, 2022

Go back and reread it until you comprehend it. She attended Army Administrative Specialist training. See block 11 of the DD214. Block 12, right next to is, shows the dates she was on active duty, and total time in active and inactive service. This was her first year in service, and E1 is the appropriate grade.

This is stunning. @Kathy4Truth claimed she served 10 yrs in her campaign bio.

This DD214 combined with her NGB 22E demonstrate 7 1/2 years of service.

She stated just a few days ago her DD214 would demonstrate 3 yrs of service and honorable discharge. It doesn't.

Dishonest. https://t.co/ag3OWSn9I5— Gunnery Sergeant Jessie Jane Duff (@JessieJaneDuff) May 14, 2022

You apparently place more importance on yours than I do mine. What I do find very useful, however, is the serial number (service number) I was assigned in 68. Not my SSAN and it’s 8 numerals drilled into my head forever. I use variations of it all the time for password components....

Look at the whole form. She was in Administrative Specialist training. Three months and 29 days, with an additional 2 months and 24 days of inactive service. You don’t get promoted until you’ve completed at least one school. Blocks 11 & 12 are the important ones.

She claims she was on active duty from 1990-1993 but does not know where her DD-214 is. Cant tell where she was stationed. The stuff about OTS is probably a lie. Her DD-214 exists if she was on active duty and she would proudly show it to someone. All the vets I know are proud of their active service and can readily produce a copy.

I looked over Barrett’s NG Form 22 (discharged from NG), and the only Active service it showed was basic training. She claims she had 3 years active, but so far has not proven it. Barrett is therefore not considered a US veteran by the Dept of Veterans Affairs.

If you’re a current or former member of the Reserves or National Guard, you must have been called to active duty by a federal order and completed the full period for which you were called or ordered to active duty. If you had or have active-duty status for training purposes only, you don’t qualify for VA health care.

I would support her or Oz, but why would Hannity come out and say that a Primary candidate can’t win when they’re surging?

RECAP:

Wrong. The forms don't have 10 yrs of service that she has claimed.

Her NGB 22E and DD214 cover under 8 years of service.

She said her DD214 covered 3 years of service & an HONORABLE discharge. The DD214 doesn't have either of those. It only has 3 months 29 days.

Dishonest

ONE MORE...

I am amazed by this. No one is attacking Kathy’s service but come on:

First she said she didn’t have a DD214.
Then she said she had one which reflected 3 years of service and an Honorable discharge.
Then one is finally released & it reflects neither of those things. 🤯🤯🤯🤯 https://t.co/cB05h1VNpc— Sean Parnell (@SeanParnellUSA) May 14, 2022
