Sure Cruise is a Scientology nut. But this is the one movie I will see in a theater this summer.

Probably still a little bit of the woke-woke. ROC patch still not on jacket, etc.

My husband wants to see it.
So I guess we will.
I never saw the first one. Just did not interest me then or now.
But it does not sound like it is too terrible.

So happy to read this review. I’ll have to watch the original again with my sons and buy tickets for us when it comes out.

Cruise is a short li’l feller.
I’ll take Russell Crowe or Gerald Butler.
If I still went to the movies that is.

Read Prodigal Soldiers by James Kitfield if you are interested in the genesis of the AF's Top Gun training and the rebuilding of the military after Vietnam. I just read it. that and several biographies of generals who effected the changes all end with the Gulf War which was fought totally differently. Alas we slid back into the VN syndrome of micromanagement by social workers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Little weird Cruze must be 60 years old and still can’t get enough of himself with a remake 🤪

I’m not a Tom Cruise fan. It’s not just because of his Scientology stuff. I think he’s a pompous jerk, true to his character Maverick. I try to stay away from his movies, but sometimes I want to see the other actors so still view a few, but reluctantly.

Top Gun was the only movie I’ve ever walked out of in my life.
It was silly.

Ready for this. I saw “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness” today (review on my @WallsOther Twitter account). Average, but I’m guessing like some of the other “interim” Marvel movies, it is a stair-step for a big “Avengers” type sequence later.
