Let’s say we send $1 million for anti tank rockets. Those rockets are manufactured here in the US giving employment to those at the anti tank rocket factory. The critter/Senator who nailed down the contract for these anti tank rockets gets campaign donations from the workers AND the anti tank rocket factory corporation as well as talking points for his/her next campaign. The gov’t gets more income tax $$ from the workers so it can give more money to be used to buy MREs for the troops using the anti tank rockets...and on...and on...
Then there’s the “spillage” when the anti tank rockets leave the plant and before they end up in the hands of the troops they were intended for. This “spillage” will appear on the black market for sale to the highest bidder in some other hot spot.
And then there are the “finder’s fees”.....e.g. 10% for the big guy
