I could hardly swim, but figured out how to surf a bit in SoCal years ago. The hammerheads just swarmed in La Jolla and the big ones were out a bit further. YIKES. How am I still here....

When the US was in the race to win back the America’s Cup, my younger son was on the team to bring it back. One time, they were told that a bomb had been put under their sailboat, so he put a tank on and went down to examine the keel. Before he went in the water a hammerhead was in the area but they didn’t see it at that moment, so down he went. As he checked the entire bottom of the boat, he didn’t realize that he cut his ankle on the razor that was on the keel (used to cut off seaweed) It wasn’t till he was back on the boat that they saw all the blood. Was he ever lucky!!!!!!
