Why does anyone continue to treat people as experts when they are so consistently wrong?

Never trust people who are called experts by others or who call themselves experts. Almost all have an agenda.

Last week, the Federal Reserve raised rates one half percent and the stock market went up over 900 points. The "experts" on CNBC said that was because the market had priced in the increase. The next day, the market went down over 1,000 points. The experts were 100% wrong.

In 1970, on the first Earth Day, the experts predicted billions would die from starvation because of an impending ice age. The experts were 100% wrong.

In 1989, the experts at the UN predicted that we only had ten years left to solve the climate problem. Even though the experts were 100% wrong, the media, politicians, entertainers, bureaucrats, business leaders and others treat each subsequent dire prediction as factual instead of doing research and asking questions.

When Hurricane Katrina hit, we were warned that this was an indication of the future. Instead, the next 10 years were mild. Storm activity, like everything else dealing with the climate, is, and has always been cyclical and natural. The experts were 100% wrong.

SNIP

Never trust people who are called experts by others or who call themselves experts. Almost all have an agenda.

People should question everything they are told, especially if the source is the media, the government, entertainers, or educators.

Never trust a leftist even if they say they are an expert because they are living in a false reality.

All “experts” are on somebody’s payroll.

In other words they are whores.

Expert = unknown, insignificant drip

Why do they keep treating David Gergen as an expert?

I’ve developed a habit. When u see a guest in the news being presented as an expert i look up their bio. It’s amazing how often they turn out to be a 2017 college grad etc. This is especially true in print where you cannot see their youth.
Half the time you are being lectured by the equivalent of a college kid home for thanksgiving. And this is also true for government minions.

The only real requirement for media “experts” is saying something that supports the narrative. Just being cited by the media is an instant credibility killer.

An expert is someone who can sit on an ice cream cone and tell you what flavor it is.

Why does anyone continue to treat people as experts when they are so consistently wrong?

It's called gaslighting.

That's because most media experts appear to be wannabe economists. When I was in the school of business at Illinois, the joke was, "How do you get 5 economic forecasts? Answer - ask 3 economists to predict what will happen next year."

Now it looks like there are entire universities teaching nothing but economist logic to all students.

There are some things that I am a recognized expert about.

I do get media calls asking me to do a standup for TV or a radio interview - but if you are a legitimate expert, it's almost always a mistake.

The last time I did live TV was when Magic Johnson was diagnosed with HIV. There I was, standing by Soldier's Field Road, about to join the big time, the red light goes on.

The bubble headed bleached blonde asks me, "Well, this just means Magic was exposed to the virus, so that's a good thing, right?" - and I burst out laughing.

Delete one expert.

I recently did an NPR taped interview about COVID, and at the end, the reporter said, "Would you like to share your pronouns with our audience?"

I said, "I'm sure you can figure them out".

I don't believe that interview ever aired.

To steal a quote from the liberal Ben Rhodes, “The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. They literally know nothing”

It isn’t surprising that their guest experts are of similar age; likely people reporters socialize with each night.

The dumb talking to the dumb; each thinking the other is smart because they went saw each other at the same political function.

In order to be an “expert” in something, all you have to do is say so...
Therefore, I consider myself an expert at expert’s.

My expert opinion is that 99% of experts are full of hot air.
