More than 44 Virginia schools and James Madison University participated in a Statewide Student Day of Action for Abortion Access on Monday, holding walkouts in support of federal and state measures that will codify Roe v. Wade, including the certification of the Equal Rights Amendment in the Constitution.
At least 1,000 students were expected to participate in the walkouts while others chose to participate by wearing green. Some schools have also chosen to continue advocacy throughout the week and hold demonstrations on Monday and Thursday.
"I have engaged in countless conversations with students locally and throughout our state, and they long to have their voices respected and acknowledged in the fight for reproductive rights," says Felix Hedberg, the Generation Ratify Virginia Policy Director and junior at Open High School. "It’s time to listen to youth. Virginia was the 38th state to ratify the ERA, shining the spotlight on Virginia in the movement for gender equality and reproductive justice. Generation Z is ready to capitalize on that attention to ensure Youngkin and Virginia Republicans won’t succeed in rewriting Virginia as a commonwealth against abortion access."

Yeah uh kids will take any reason to ditch class
How very sad that these brainwashed, misguided young girls, on the cusp of becoming young women and entering their child bearing years, are fighting to murder their yet unconceived babies.
“Excuse me - Miss Anderson. Does this you mean you wished we had never been born? But won’t that put you out of a job?”
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Let me know if I’m wrong.🤔
We no longer have a need for a “Civil Rights Act!”
Since I or anyone can be any gender or race that they choose .. what or who would the law be protecting?🙄
As I said, I don’t see the need for a Civil Rights Act any longer?😏
They arent brainwashed
They want this
Some people like evil, even (gasp) women
And the guys will go along in hopes of getting laid, thus knocking up the girls who will want the abortions. What a vicious cycle.
Now that Wokeism, Transgenderism, Sexism and all the other Isms that are being taught children from age 5, they will be prepared for being raped and abused now that abortion is available for them at age 12. Our school system is sure preparing children to become adults after being raped and aborted long before they graduate and are prepared for life.
Wow! A whole 1,000. It’s a movement! A bowel one.
Young skulls full of mush.
A real school administrator would mandate that any unauthorized departure from class would result in a 0 for that day.
Women are having their first children in their 30’s and are still starting to have sex In their teens. Except the Mormons, immigrants and welfare queens. That is their plan and that leaves a lot of years to have a career, date, travel, meet people and have fun when they are young. The pill makes it easy. Abortion is the usually unneeded plan b that makes it a reality. Shotgun weddings are a thing of the past… and good riddance. Darn right those kids (and parents) are going to protest a minority trying to take away what was previously legal.
The pushback will be fierce and not be good for the GOP. But no surprise theyll get Marxists elected. Yay. Good job.
And parents were appropriately charged for the authorized (cuz your kids like us better) day off for an extra-curricula social sciences participatory lab.
As Mark Steyn says, “You can vote your way into Marxism, but you have to shoot your way out.”
I feel sad for kids whose mothers are advocates for abortion. If I were one of those kids, I’d infer, “I never should have had you; I don’t really want you.”
1000 / 44 is about 23 students per school.
“ “ says Felix Hedberg, the Generation Ratify Virginia Policy Director and junior at Open High School. “It’s time to listen to youth. ”
We don’t listen to youth . You are in school precisely because you -don’t- have anything to teach us.
