This past weekend was a tough one for Phillies fans everywhere, as their series loss to the Mets featured a blown six-run ninth inning lead on Thursday. Announcer Gary Cohen had a great time rubbing the Mets’ success in the faces of the Philadelphia faithful.
During his broadcast for SNY Sunday night, which ended in a 6-1 Mets win, Cohen added some commentary on a hilarious video of two Phillies fans sitting together at the game.
The pair, which appear to be a couple, is seen talking. The man pleads with the woman as tears are streaming down her face. Cohen reenacted what he believed was going on during the duo’s conversation.

The Mets were on a roll last year and then deGrom went down and the whole team folded like a cheap suit. They basically gave up and didn't even try for a guy who plays once every 5 days.
never mind the Mets are doing they’ve not done in decades- get big hits in timely spots.
Buck Showalter has been a big plus. Small ball to a degree, which I like.
LOL- you can tell you watch the Mets a lot and know a lot about baseball.
deGrom was lost early in 2021 and the Mets did not fold because he went down. The Mets never score(d) runs for him and he never won more than 15 games in a season despite his pitching brilliance. They lost because they had an incompetent as a manager. Buck is one of the main reasons they have done so well this season besides some outstanding FA signings.

Agree completely. Rojas was too young for the job and the players took advantage. Marte for Comforto and Bassitt for Stroman has worked out just fine for the good guys.
Stroman was a complete POS- race hustler who quickly ran for cover when his own bigotry was called out.
Canha was also an excellent signing. Pissed they let Loup go and traded Castro
Cohen, Ron Darling and Keith Hernandez. I don’t need a game to enjoy listening to those three. Best team evah!

Ugh, you wouldn’t believe how tired I was of that rag Stroman stuffed under his hat. Damn fool. Then they added Baez who was locker room poison. Yes, Canha is a big plus, along with Escobar. Loup was really good and is lightening it up again this year. Castro had a rubber arm who I liked more than May.
Stroman? Wasn’t his father a police officer?
I don’t know- and don’t care- but the guy was a race baiter that took every opportunity to call others racists then retweeted someone else’s tweet which called NY Mets beat writer Anthony DiComo a “wop”. And when he was called out on it he claimed his twitter account was hacked.
Looks like we’re on a collision course to another “Subway” World Series.
Keith is a closet conservative.
Gary Cohen though, is an out and out flaming liberal progressive.
