The images were revealed as part of study included in NASA's 'Beacon in the Galaxy' project.
Hey E.T., you up? NASA is planning on launching nude images into space as part of its latest attempt to make contact with other intelligent life in the universe, according to a study recently released by the space agency. However, the proposed unsolicited pictures won't be graphic photographs of actual naked human like you might think.
Instead, they are basic anatomical drawings of a man and a woman accompanied by a depiction of DNA. The humans are waving, likely to make them seem more welcoming to the galaxy and not at all creepy. The sketches were revealed in a study that's part of a NASA project called "Beacon in the Galaxy," which aims to spark communication with any alien civilization that might be out there.
The transmitted message also includes a simple representation of a world map and a diagram about how Earth's gravity works. Scientists say the message will be written in binary code, which they believe could be extensively understood by extraterrestrials, according to the study.
"Though the concept of mathematics in human terms is potentially unrecognizable to ETI, binary is likely universal across all intelligence," the study reads. "Binary is the simplest form of mathematics as it involves only two opposing states: zero and one, yes or no, black or white, mass or empty space."
The proposed message also includes basic mathematical and physical concepts "to establish a universal means of communication followed by information on the biochemical composition of life on Earth, the Solar System’s time-stamped position in the Milky Way relative to known globular clusters, as well as digitized depictions of the Solar System, and Earth’s surface," per the study.
This isn't the first time NASA

Earth Girls are Easy
Rule 34. If it exists, there is porn of it.
Can’t believe NASA isn’t sending “Ginger Lynn’s Anal Adventures, Part 8”.
What the stories I’ve read, aliens already know about human anatomy and where to stick “the probe”... no need to send additional pics.
I dunno, there is no probe-entry instructions. That is why they need to send “Ginger Lynn’s Anal Adventures, Part 8”.
NASA needs to catch up. Man and woman are out. Gender fluidity is in. They’re going to have to make more drawings.

“To Serve Man”
(it's a cookbook!!!!)
This ain’t new. The 1972 Pioneer 10 and 1973 Pioneer 11 spacecraft, feature a pictorial message, in case either Pioneer 10 or 11 is intercepted by intelligent extraterrestrial life. The plaques show the nude figures of a human male and female along with several symbols that are designed to provide information about the origin of the spacecraft
“Commander, it’s puny Earthlings sending pictures of themselves again.”
.
“Prepare the planet disintegrator!”
“Send more Chuck Berry.”
Whatever life is out there, if they can get here they are too superior to life here. Don’t invite them. So, since we don’t want to attract them, send images of Hilery Clinton, Whoopi, and Rachel Levine (the It Girl).
NASA is doing this while Space X is picking up our astronauts?
The Voyager ones look better...
Mars needs Women.
It's always the same, from the top of the food chain to the very bottom. We can look down and see bottom, but it's a long, long way up..... :(
This could be like the rabbits trying to tell the wolves where the rabbit holes are. There is a very long but enjoyable three-volume work titled “The Three Body Problem” putting forth the “Dark Forrest” theory.
In essence, the Galaxy is a dangerous place and wise cultures do their best to stay below the radar.
NASA means “need a sensible administrator”. Establish good scientific communications with non human life on this planet before trying out the alien mind. Let’s try it with bees or crows or dogs or octopi. They are gregarious enough.
Hopefully the aliens won’t think it’s a menu.
To deter an alien invasion, NASA should orbit huge replicas of Joy Behar, Woopie Goldberg, and Nancy Pelosi. That should scare them off.
