A group of smash and grab robbers raided a Virginia eyeglass store and stole more than $20,000 of products.
This week, Fairfax County released in-store surveillance footage of four men raiding a MyEyeDr. store near Richmond Highway in Alexandria at about 6.30pm on April 19.
The suspects are all black men and are believed to be between the ages of 17 and 23.
A fifth suspect, who was the group's getaway driver, is also wanted by police. The men are believed to have fled in an older-model black Toyota Camry with tinted windows and black hubcaps.
Detectives are following up on leads and are aware of similar incidents throughout the National Capital Region,' Capt. Frederick Chambers, Commander of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Fairfax County Police Department, said in a press release issued on Thursday.
Police are having a hard time identifying the perpetrators, who were wearing masks, hoodies and hats on the day of the robbery.

What was the race of the black people wo did this?
I don’t know but I have to wonder how blind or how poor eyesight they have to steal that many glasses?
Do we even have to look at the video?
Feral black thug gang.
Joggers gotta jog.
“The suspects are all black men...”
The Daily Mail actually wrote that description?
They stole eyeglass frames?
Really?
They may be expensive, but completely worthless, to them, I think.
Robbing a store of heaps of eyeglass frames, not picking the good from the bad, and leaving the cash registers untouched is odd. What plan would the robbers have of turning their loot into cash? Who would buy wholesale bags of different frames? That’s the route to solving this crime.
Just how big of a Business Card is needed for these LEO’s ?
There’s not going to be any room for a Logo, address, phone, cell and fax numbers.
Maybe they will glue fake noses to them and then pose for a picture mocking the “administration” ?
By 2030, in-store shopping will consist of displays only in larger with highly secured warehousing facilities. You’ll basically pick from the display-pay-and THEN you’ll get your purchase. Merchandise will no longer be accessible to the consumer prior to purchase i.e. internet purchases.
Insurance companies will soon start requiring more security procedures in order to be insured.........
coming to a CVS near you!
SOUNDS like a fabricated resume versus a business card .....
The push to get rid of masks completely is going to come from law enforcement agencies trying to solve crimes like this one.
Manufacturers will often compensate stores for theft in order to have their goods readily available for purchase.
They may stop doing this if the nation goes the way of San Francisco.
Best Products used to work on such a model.
They are no longer around.
The car might have been recorded by several cameras.
Also, sneakers don’t wear masks. Man1, five foot six, wearing Nike Xs, Man 2...
“By 2030, in-store shopping will consist of displays only in larger with highly secured warehousing facilities”
This was the business model of the catalog showrooms like Best Products, Service Merchandise, Arden and Brendles. Popular in the 1980’s, most declared bankruptcy by the end of the 1990’s. Their limited assortments of housewares, jewelry, sporting goods, and electronics could not compete with the huge assortments of the emerging “category killer” specialty chains such as Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Sports Authority, and Zales.
Eventually citizens, retailers, and insurance companies are going to demand protection from rampant crime. Either government will crack down on crime or vigilante justice will become common.
Just more undocumented reparations. In a sane society the shop owner would have been full justified shooting these thieving bastards, BUT.... They juss wilin’
They are aspiring opticians wanting to hone their craft, obviously.
