Giant ยฃ570 million superyacht 'owned by Vladimir Putin' is seized by Italian authorities as part of sanctions against Russia over invasion of Ukraine
U.K. Daily Mail ^ | 5/6/2022 | TOM PYMAN and NICK PISA

A giant superyacht said to be owned by Vladimir Putin was last night set to be seized by Italian authorities after they recommended it be impounded as part of sanctions against Russia.

Authorities in Italy said the $700 million The Scheherazade, which is more than 450ft long, and boasts spas, swimming pools and two helicopter pads was connected to a 'significant person' but did not name them.

The yacht has been the subject of an investigation by the Italian financial police since the end of March and has been in dock at Marina di Carrara near Pisa since September undergoing a refit.

The late night announcement came after fears grew that The Scheherazde was about to slip away and head to international waters and avoid any possible sanctions.

Hey Vlad. This Ukraine thing isn’t going too well.

How about cutting your losses and go home?

Vlad, do you speak Mandarin?

People think inflation is bad now, well just wait until they get their heating bill come winter. The US is already OVER peak capacity producing it, and Europe is ALREADY at peak capacity with their regassification plants and they haven’t even shut off the Russian pipelines yet. The stupidity of these war mongers is mind blowing.

U.S. LNG output is above capacity now, but can it last?

At 9,000 tons, Putin’s yacht displaces that of WWII light cruisers.

Amazing how tyrants get away with stealing from, and impoverishing, their people.

Oh, and as for the net worth of Bammy, Pelosi, Schumer, Brandon . . .

If someone stole my bass boat, I forever retain the right to sink it anytime I see it. If I was Vlad Iโ€™d issue standing orders to my subs, sink it on sight.

Interesting. However, brain dead Joe and his war cheerleaders sanctions have backfired in many ways. Related to this matter, those โ€œevilโ€ Russian oligarchs, which have moved billions OUT of Russia for decades, are now sending billions BACK into Russia. Billions.

Good move, vegetable head, Vlad says CHECKMATE, again.

For whatever reason it is clear that massive superyachts are quite popular in Putin’s social and business circle. Therefore it would follow that Putin would have one himself.

Myself I am gobsmacked by the wealth that is being squandered on a fleet of yachts that exceeds the cost and tonnage of even the active Russian navy.

Vast majority of Europe will cut 2/3rds of Russian gas consumption by the end of the year
โ€”โ€”โ€” Wrong, Hungary, Bulgaria, and three others will not end Russian oil and NG. Sorry, Vlad holds all the cards. Call your friends in England and ask them if they have any diesel? No, they are on their very last reserves. Diesel fuel runs manufacturing and growth.

Russia has need of nothing, NG, gas, oil, diesel, metals, food, commodities, etc.
EU manufacturing is poised to come to a screeching haltโ€ฆ.and by the end of the year you say? Hah, the EU freezes, manufacturing creeps to a halt.

EU fuel charts: https://www.racfoundation.org/data/european-petrol-prices

https://www.racfoundation.org/data/european-diesel-prices

UK showing 1.8 Pounds per litre of diesel. $2.22 USD = about $8.40 a gallon and rising. Imagine $9 a gallon of diesel in the US.

Coming to the US? No idea, but fact is Vlad says Checkmate, again.

If you’re so committed to self-determination then let Russia hold a vote for independence in Koenigsburg.

If Russia goes nuclear against NATO then NATO will go nuclear against Russia.

And we know where Putin’s bunkers are and we have the weaponry to kill him dead. Along with 95% of the Russian population.

Russia might have some functional nukes but not many. Not since the Mayak facility accident and subsequent shut down in 2017. Russia hasn’t built a new nuke since then.

They were building a new plant at Mayak but that effort is dead now that Russia can’t buy the tech they need.

Give it about eight years on the outside and Russia won’t be a nuclear armed country anymore.

“Russia might have some functional nukes but not many.”

You can’t possibly be serious. I swear some of you people are straight up delusional. Personally I’m not interested in chancing a nuclear exchange for a horrendously corrupt and failed state like Ukraine, and neither I suspect are most Americans.

Read up on the Mayak facility and learn about the limited shelf life of nukes.

Why do you think the US spends so much on nuclear weapons yet the number of them never increases?

Most of these things have a service life of five to eight years. Or less.

Putin realizes he can’t win a conventional war against NATO, nukes are the only real card he can play. So you can be sure they are in working order. And anyway Russia has just shy of 6,000 nukes, they could blow up the world with even just a fraction of them working.
