The younger crowds cannot separate themselves from phones even while driving.

Are you sure that wasn't shrooms? (never done them.. curious though, if I was in a padded cell for about a week)

"Driving under any impairing substance should be illegal"

IS illegal, as far as I know (in all states).

โ€œ I am against pot legalization, but you are correct. There is also no shortage of 16 year old drivers exercising poor judgment when not impairedโ€

Underage weed use is already illegal in our state

Cannabis residue can last in the system for up to two weeks; who says she was on it when the crash occurred? (why the heck are there two c’s and two r’s in the word:occurred)

I was anti marijuana for years until I got severe PTSD. The crap the Big Farm has and was pushed on me to take by doctors were a hell of a lot worse than weed. With any other drug, it can be abused but itโ€™s been the best thing Iโ€™ve ever taken and the best damn part, Iโ€™m recovering. If I was still listening to the doctors, I would be drugged up and scheduled to take their crap every day. I donโ€™t with Marijuana. Iโ€™ve gone from taking it every day to once a week if flare ups start.

You donโ€™t need much to help. The problem is when people abuse it, thatโ€™s when you here about it.

"back seat filled to brim with ice and beers ready to venture out on Senior Skip Day"

That actually reminds me of my HS Grad party.
2 of us were in a suburban to go pick up 2 full size kegs for grad party out on a ranch 50 miles from nowhere..
I was the passenger (17yo), driver was 18.. and I was drunk before we got to the party, ๐Ÿคช.... only 7 grad seniors showed up, and about 4 under-classWOmen... (I also remember both kegs were empty when I woke up.. BAD hangover)
I don't remember much, besides sitting around a campfire, and telling a sophomore that I had a crush on her (VERY slurred).
Next morning, I woke up in bed at the ranch-house with her next to me. BOTH fully clothed...

Still, to this day, I don't remember anything that happened. (maybe that is a good thing)

I miss those carefree days ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜†

Thank you for the reasoned post. THC has a medicinal use and is to be used by responsible patients. Appreciate your open address of the topic. You make more sense thant he folks who ‘self medicate’ using alochol to excess.

lol, reminds me of when we used to have 2 in the front seat and about 4 or 5 in the trunk (NOT the civic) to get into a drive-in.. ๐Ÿ˜

Double date, my buddy and me in the trunk and GFs driving. There was a trunk release in the glove box of the Olds 88 my folks had. Took the girls a little longer than we liked after we got into the drive in for them to figure it out. Or highly likely they left us there for a reason. LOL!

An old trick. My town has cruise nights for vintage cars in the summer. It’s amazing how big some of those old cars are, and how much space they have. I drive a Mercury Grand Marquis, which is big and spacious, but not as much as a lot of the old cars.

You mention Civics and football players. One time we were hanging out in the high school parking lot during lunch and there was an early ‘70’s Civic parked there. The first time I had seen one. We were talking about how small it was and one of the football players, who was huge, bet he could lift it. He backed up to the rear bumper and lifted it a good foot off the ground. You could have gotten only two football players of his size into a Civic.
