Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville admitted Thursday during a Senate hearing that the Army’s recruiting difficulties and its plan to reduce numbers accordingly would leave the force too small.
The Army is reducing its total active-duty force numbers over the next several years due to recruiting difficulties — an unprecedented step, according to some military experts.
The Army announced in March that the end strength, or total number of forces, would go from 485,000 active-duty soldiers currently to 476,000 in fiscal year 2022, which ends in September, and further down to 473,000 in fiscal year 2023. It is the lowest it has been since World War II, according to the Military Times.
Senate Armed Services Committee Ranking Member Jim Inhofe (R-IN) called it “more serious than any recruiting challenge that I’ve experienced in the years that I’ve been here.”

Current soldiers who are experiencing the gender bender nonsense, homosexuals in the leadership, forced vaccinations, the feminization of what was a masculine warrior culture are not encouraging others to enlist.
This is why I'm okay with a 2 year draft. Make the no-load Karens learn disciple and appreciation for what they have. Weeks of Boot Camp makes men out of boys and women out of girls, providing it's stringent enough and not all Woke.

Resumption of the Draft will have another salient effect: immigration of all flavors will drop significantly.
Illegals should still be responsible to sign up (they are even now), but should be told that they will do only the dirty jobs - think latrine detail for two years straight - after which they will still be liable for deportation. They will not be trusted with firearms of any sort.
