George W. Bush held a video call on Thursday. During the call, Bush called Ukrainian President Zelenskyy the “Winston Churchill of our times.”
What an embarrassment.
George W. Bush is famous for his trust in Putin, saying, “I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul.”
Guess he was wrong about that, too?
It was GHW Bush who devised the Bush Plan for North Mexico (aka USA) as the only path to the New World order.
The citizens of the USA and their sovereignty were in the way.
He knew we would never vote to surrender our country to the UN, so he set about to import people who would.
Every President after him followed the same plan until we elected Trump to stop it.
Both parties colluded to cheat Trump out to get that plan on track again.

Churchill stood up at the time when he was most needed to save what we know as Western Civilization. For nearly two years he literally held back the irresistible force when he had zero chance to prevail and there was no one there to help.
Modern liberals (Bush) love to compare contemporaries to great historical figures. Neither Zelensky nor Bush could reach up to touch the bottoms of Churchill’s shoes if they were standing on the peak of Mt. Everest.

John Mearsheimer agrees with you. He lumps them together as the bipartisan “Global Dominance” wing of American politics. They shared/share a vision of America dominating the world after the fall of the USSR as if we are the modern Rome. Other countries aren’t real happy with that plan.

I wouldn’t be completely opposed to an American politician who loved our Constitution, our heritage of rugged individualism, limited government, personal freedom, and respect for the marketplace. If such American ideas were to dominate the world, then billions could benefit.
I don’t know how Mearsheimer sees it, but I look at the current American political class, and while they may seek power and dominance on a global scale, I do not think Bushes, Clintons, Obamas, Bidens, and others have any love for true American values.
Their vision of “America dominating the world” is certainly not mine.
