Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Monday warned progressives that the Supreme Court “isn’t just coming for abortion” after a leak of a Supreme Court draft ruling that would overturn Roe v. Wade.
“As we’ve warned, SCOTUS isn’t just coming for abortion — they’re coming for the right to privacy Roe rests on which includes gay marriage + civil rights,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
“Manchin is blocking Congress codifying Roe. House has seemingly forgotten about Clarence Thomas. These 2 points must change,” the liberal firebrand continued, taking shots at Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
A draft ruling on Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that made abortion a constitutional right nationwide, was leaked by Politico on Monday night. The opinion was drafted by Justice Samuel Alito, a George W. Bush appointee.
The opinion concludes by declaring that Roe and the court’s decision in Planned Parenthood v. Casey both have no grounding in the Constitution.

To me it is not a voting matter. It is a moral one. If we let the voters decide in states like cal on issues of life and death for conservatives we would all be dead. A moral choice must set the time life begins. Is it at the first cell division or when the fetus has awareness or at birth. There must be a standard.

The “right to privacy” is the supposed combination of the right against unreasonable search and seizure plus the presumption of innocence.
So-called homosexual marriage is NOT a privacy issue.
Homosexuals being foster and adoptive parents is NOT a privacy issue.
Being sued, fined, or run out of business for not accommodating, facilitating, endorsing, and praising homosexuality is NOT a privacy issue.
Teaching little children LGBT ideology is NOT a privacy issue.
It’s weird how one particular party does not care HOW they get what they want as long as they get what they want. There is a process to change laws and the Constitution. They can’t or don’t want to make changes legitimately.
The right to life is in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution (e.g. 14th amendment). The right to privacy is NOT an explicit or enumerated right.
Abortion was one of the crimes against humanity for which people were hung at Nuremberg; the standard has always been there.
