If anyone needs evidence that leftists are suffering from a strong delusion about the policies they’ve put in place in Democrat hellhole cities like San Francisco, we need only look at reactions to the skyrocketing crime. Perhaps an easier way to look at it is to highlight what Democrats have NOT done in their cities, namely give law enforcement the authority they used to enjoy that allowed them to actually stop crimes.
Here’s modern-day San Francisco in a nutshell:

It seems like a foregone conclusion that retail businesses like Walgreens will either need to hire expensive private security that will raise prices for their customers or abandon Democrat hellholes altogether. They’ve shuttered five stores in San Francisco and it seems unfathomable that they can continue to operate at all there as long as Democrats continue to hamstring police.
But it’s not just what Democrats are doing to law enforcement. The people are scared to react thanks to leftist indoctrination. Any Good Samaritan who tries to intervene will definitely be called a bigot and likely get sued or even arrested and charged for not just sitting back and letting criminals destroy their communities.
The midterm elections cannot come soon enough for many who live in Democrat hellholes. The only question is whether they can wake enough of their friends and family up to the fact that Democrat policies fail miserably.

And I’ll bet Walgreens is run by brain-washed, woke-sloganeering, loyal crony-capitalist leftists.

There are many here on FR that think you are the bad guy if you use force to stop this kind of activity.
And, sadly, I'm willing to bet that, at best, 5% of them are willing to switch to voting with their brains rather than their emotions. You just can't fix this level of abject stupidity.

They are and they are shutting down many stores. You can’t promote those who rob you and expect not to get robbed.
Why would anyone expect those who live in Democrat s***holes to change their votes? The voters are too stupid to draw the correlation between Democrat administration and s***hole. This isn't sudden it's only a progression of what has gone on long before the most recent election.
Same can be said for the brain dead voters of South Carolina that re-elected Flimsey Grahamnesty TWICE after THREE amnesty votes.
I think Walgreens is the chain that has some sort of hands off policy for shoplifting

Not me. I am not one of them. I believe in the “Broken Glass” theory of addressing crime.
If it were my business directly, and someone was doing that, I would stop them. Obviously, if you are an hourly employee of a big chain, things are going to be different.
But I would defend my property with tasers, pepper spray, or firearms.
Walgreens really should shut down all stores in San Francisco and the immediate neighborhoods.
I can't think of anyplace that it isn't against the law.
This is considered a survival crime in Seattle.

Democrat policies are working beyond their expectations! The democrat policies are designed to end America as a Constitutional Republic and they are getting it done! The democrat voters will not acknowledge the truth of what they keep voting for, so they help the demon rats destroy America.
How about this one: In NYC, carjacker busts driver with brass knuckles, shatters eye socket. One arrested, the other to emergency room. Guess who was back on the street first?
