Four Florida correctional officers were arrested on murder charges for allegedly beating an inmate to death, authorities said.
Christopher Rolon, 29, Kirk Walton, 34, and Ronald Connor, 24, were arrested Thursday following a monthslong investigation of the fatal incident at the Dade Correctional Institution in Miami-Dade County, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said.
They all face multiple charges, including second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit second-degree murder, aggravated battery on an elderly or disabled person and cruel treatment of a detainee, officials said.

Was fentanyl smuggled in?
Supposedly, the inmate threw urine at them and they beat him to death. Probably, that sort of thing has happened many times before, and unusual to have 4 guards charged with murder.
Like any other business when it comes to employees you get what you pay for.
State DOC guards just got a $2k raise to $35k a year.
I doubt that attracts the highest quality manpower.
Honestly I don’t know how someone could sustain themselves in South Florida on that little salary.

Not a hate crime
Sorry buddy you’re way out of touch with reality
We help me out then
“Honestly I don’t know how someone could sustain themselves in South Florida on that little salary.”
Virtually impossible on a salary like that...and getting worse with Bidinflation...those officers probably have to supplement their income by working 2 jobs...or selling contraband to inmates.
“selling contraband to inmates”
Volunteer on my church’s prison ministry in North Fla....every facility I go in to has a sign at security that says “Don’t be one of these”
Below that are pictures of DOC employees and their specific offence.
Many I see were in fact caught bringing in contraband.
Last time in I saw where 2 female guards got caught having sex with inmates.
Like I said, you get the employees you pay for.
Or perhaps he threw the urine because these guys have treated him like crap before.
Either way, He was in the mental health section of the jail.
When the keepers are as bad as the inmates.
Notice there was no mention of race in the story. Try to imagine if multiple white CO’s beat a black inmate. The racial component would have been the entire focus of the story.
Here’s a previous article about the inmate and the reputation of that particular unit he was held.

Actually, a black inmate at that same unit was put in a scalding shower for 1-2 hours. He was found dead with his skin peeled off most his body. I don’t think anyone was charged. His race wasn’t mentioned. But his photo was posted. The article I posted above discusses the case.
