I did 25 years, and I saw some of that too. I was never in a women’s joint, but I heard male officers were walked out, for over familiarity, probably more than women were walked out of men’s joints.
This story, doesn’t make sense. Maybe the article is wrong. No way is any high ranking person, going to take any inmate, anywhere. That was left to the lower ranking staff, like us. 😃😀

No. There should have been two deputies. She broke protocol. She was supposedly taking him for a mental exam. However the exam wasn’t scheduled.
I wasn’t in a women’s facility. But from the staff that did work in one they said that happened quite a bit too.

Decades ago, my county, Fauquier (VA), had a lone woman officer transporting an inmate and he managed to get his hand through the protective screen and around her throat.
Somehow, she managed to pull out her revolver and kill him before she herself was killed. Happy ending.
Well...at least they’re the same race and of a different sex.
Off-topic, but women in uniform should have their hair pulled back.
The USAF and USSF have started allowing pony tails in uniform. It looks sloppy and I cringe when I see it.

It’s all covered in written directives. We were always told, if you would not want to talk about what you are doing, with co workers or family, you are probably doing something wrong.
He tried to escape jail last fall. He’s confessed to the murder he’s being held for so this guy has nothing to lose.
