I have to ask, why is the assistant director of corrections, taking an inmate out of the facility. The assistant director should NEVER take an inmate out. That’s the job of officers, Sgts and Lieutenants, not assistant directors. Something doesn’t add up.

She was in charge of transporting prisoners and was supposed always be accompanied by two deputies when moving a prisoner.
Although this has a high probability of being a voluntary aiding of an escaped convict, if he had anyone outside who could threaten her family, there’s a chance she was pressured. Either way, he’s a murderer on the run, and one runs faster alone, so she’s in danger.
In my 25 years as a Correctional officer I saw lots of female officers screw up both their careers and their lives after falling for convicts.
This is nothing new.

That had to have raised some eyebrows. Wonder what she told staff?
Then again...I can imagine some of them thinking: “As long as she signs him out, she can go where she wants with him. Not sticking my neck out...”
No, it’s not normal at all, at least not alone. The assistant director of corrections, however, will NEVER do this in the first place, under any circumstances, let alone by herself. 😃😀
