He gets accused, there is no prosecution but MLB suspends him for 2 seasons. I believe he was out all of last season too. Roger Goodell's seat just got a lot hotter. DeShaun Watson is accused of sexual assaults against multiple women. Watson was not prosecuted. But MLB has set a precedent with this de facto career ending suspension. If Goodell does not suspended Watson for two seasons, the harpies will be all over him. Just another example of a man getting burned for trusting a woman.

This is way too harsh and MLB owes Bauer an explanation as to what facts they think justify two years.

That said, we're dealing with two different burdens of proof. A DA should not bring a prosecution unless they think there is a likelihood they can prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt. MLB's standard is lower. But they certainly should explain to him why they are effectively ending his career.

In February Los Angeles prosecutors said there was insufficient evidence to prove the woman's accusations beyond a reasonable doubt because of text messages sent by Hill to Bauer in which she indicated she wanted to have rough sex with him.

If you are a wealthy celebrity and a woman tells you she wants to have violent sex with you, don't take her up on the offer.

At least he saved the texts. That's the only thing keeping him out of prison.
