Nina Jankowicz is President Joe Biden’s pick to serve as executive director of the Department of Homeland Security’s new Disinformation Governance Board—and her appointment has already met with some controversy.
Jankowicz has been a global fellow at the nonpartisan Wilson Center and an author whose research has focused on disinformation as well as Russia and the treatment of women online.
According to the Wilson Center, she studies “the intersection of democracy and technology in Central and Eastern Europe” and she was an adviser on strategic communications to the government of Ukraine during her time as a Fulbright-Clinton Public Policy Fellowship.

A dept of disinformation is 100% unconstitutional. It would be defining what can be or not allowed as free speech. And, as we all know, the right of free speech cannot be abridged. That’s in the constitution, and that right would be negated by any control under the dept of disinformation. Disinformation is defined by whoever wants to define it, and as such, it would be an intrusion into our most cherished right under the constitution.
China and Russia and Cuba and Venezuela and N. Korea and other tyrannies, come to mind when it comes to denying the free speech right of people, but the U.S. has a constitution which specifically mentions free speech,and anything that interferes with that right is unconstitutional.
The Biden administration should be brought up on charges for creating such a dept that would interfere in any way with the right to free speech.
Will need to be forcefully resisted and eliminated. Incompatible with bill of rights. Same a seizing all guns or closing all churches by decree of autocrats .
These days, it’s kind of hard to know if ANYONE is a woman.
