The truth is always in the middle of two extremes.
Yes, there are neo-nazis in the Donbas, but there are also Ukrainian army troops (many of which are civilian male conscripts). The Russians did a good job of drawing and compressing AZOV and some of the troublesome Neo-Nazis in Mariupol. The Russians are hoping Kiev catches a whiff of what can be done, solve the problem that Zelensky had with AZOV in 2019 when he asked them to disarm and they threatened to kill him.
I’m hoping that Kiev decides to allow Russia to deal with Donbas and the neo-nazis, while taking the rest of the country for their own, but NATO et al. are definitely telling Zelensky DO NOT SIGN A TREATY. Countless are dying because of it with almost no chance of a different outcome.
What makes me fearful is that the US will expend vital military hardware in this war and then China will invade Taiwan, and the US will have nothing to defend Taiwan with.
