Video shows aftermath of fatal ‘Rust’ shooting, Alec Baldwin smoking

Alec Baldwin’s gruff attitude during his first interaction with police after he shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of “Rust” can be seen in body cam footage released by cops.

The video, released by the Santa Fe Sheriff’s Office Monday afternoon along with a slew of other investigative files, shows cops responding to the shooting and their initial interview with the actor.

“My understanding is, you were in the room when the lady,” a responding deputy with the sheriff’s office says to Baldwin in the clip before trailing off.

“I was the one holding the gun, yea,” Baldwin replies in a gruff tone. “What do you need?”

The deputy told Baldwin, 64, to sit tight and not speak to anyone else as they worked to secure the scene and take statements from the witnesses.

A few minutes later, the actor is shown sitting with a few crew members and asking one of them for a cigarette.

“What do you got?” Baldwin asks a crew member, who replies that he has “Marlboro Medium.”

“I’ll take it,” Baldwin says.

“My hands are shaking… I’ll take anything.”

It’s hard getting location set catering to desert areas. I was on the set of 3:16 to Yuma, and most of the cast just went to Scottsdale on the weekend and binged on McD’s.

When I saw that earlier, it was described as a rehearsal.

I’m sorry for your losses; but it’s an extremely difficult addiction to quit.

Besides stress, it also helps people to center their minds and think. Many years ago I had a doctor in DC whose patients included lots of high-profile journalists. He said that those had a VERY hard time quitting, because smoking helped them to write.

You are fortunate never to have started.

"You are fortunate never to have started."

I thank my lucky stars that I never did smoke, especially having grown up in a family with five members who did. And back then, our mother smoked through every one of her pregnancies. I was the baby. I hated the smell of cigarettes, and the ashtrays were the worst. What a disgusting sight. In grammar school, when I sang with the choir, I could always tell my mother was in attendance because of her cough. She used to send me to the store to get her a pack of Camel's. She'd give me enough to pay 25 cents for the cigarettes, and whatever was left, I got penny candy with.

I realize that even though I never smoked, it doesn't mean I won't get cancer at some point. My health problems have been mostly abdominal. I had four separate surgeries that began in 2010, and ended in 2015. No one else in my family ever had any of that.

Well, it beats MY tic.

Whenever I am stressed, I masturbate.

I imagine that would not have been recieved well.

It’s been 15 years and still, in a moment of stress I crave one.

I must say in the afternoon when I have my cocktail I sometime think how good a cig would be......or in the morning with my coffee.....or at night with dessert......or in my car whilst driving.....NEVER MIND, I’m never going to smoke again but dang I still think about it......lol

Yup! I had to give up coffee at first, otherwise I’d wind up behind the house with my cup of coffee and smoke. Urges now hit out of the blue and then pass. Luckily we are rural, nearest store is 30+ minutes away. I changed my mind many times (to not smoke) half way there lol.
