Moldova’s president, Maia Sandu, is convening a meeting of her security council on Tuesday following a series of incidents in the breakaway Moldovan republic of Transnistria and a warning from Moscow that the Russian-backed region could be drawn into the war in Ukraine.
Transnistria, which borders western Ukraine, is controlled by pro-Russia separatists and permanently hosts 1,500 Russian troops as well as a large arms depot.
Last week, a senior Russian commander said the goal of Russia’s new offensive was to seize control of southern Ukraine and to gain access to Transnistria, creating worries that the small east European country could become a new flashpoint in growing tensions between Moscow and the west.

3 U.S. spy planes in the area and providing intelligence to Ukraine.
Neptune.
Harpoon.
How about 500 Tomahawk missiles and 500 air launched USAF cruise missiles to hit Russian controlled targets in Ukraine and Rissia near Ukraine, as well as airstrikes on Russian troops in Ukraine? Also take those Chinese islands in the South China sea while we’re at it.

The expats start to worry
They can’t escape their awful fate
From Putin’s mighty fury.
Vladi Putin, he’s our man,
Hero of our imagination
For his adventures, just be sure
To prep for radiation!
So, the Russians shoot down our Global Hawk. And what would we do?
My guess is nothing.
“Transnistria’s economy is frequently described as dependent on contraband and gunrunning. Some commentators, including Zbigniew Brzezinski, have even labelled it a mafia state.”

We don’t need to go to war over this, we have our own gangstas thank you very much.
“So, the Russians shoot down our Global Hawk. And what would we do?”
Send up 3 or 4 more.

Zbigniew Brzezinski,…I thought this particular remnant from the Carter Administration died years ago.

How about, instead, we use the TLAMs to take out the Kremlin and military headquarters in Moscow? Why play by their rules? That’s where we screw up in every war. If we’re going to do this, forget Ukraine. Take the fight to enemy.
I guess the EU/Soros/Biden/WEF/Deep State geniuses didn’t consider Putin taking a bit more than his original objectives when they caused the Russians to start spilling blood.
Bummer.
The Russians aren’t playing now, they see this as the likely beginning of WW3 and won’t be returning the land they now occupy leaving Ukraine a landlocked rump state. Zelensky and his neocon backers have sold out the Ukrainian people for this proxy war against Russia, basically leaving the country in shambles, never to return to its former borders. And they’ve now lost the recently discovered oil & gas deposits lying under the Donbas and the Black Sea further strengthening Russia’s strategic interests in controlling the world’s energy reserves. None of this benefits either the people in Ukraine or the US, only the military-industrial complex.
Adolf Putin: I have no more territorial ambitions in Europe!
I hope Ukraine is planning some sort of surprise in Moscow at the May 9th parade. Also, a strong US president would have told Putin in February that we would swap Cuba and Venezuela for Ukraine and began the liberation of those countries.
Despite the assurances of Putler’s fanbase here, it is now indisputable that Russia has designs on other territory in Europe.
First it was “just” Crimea.
Second it was eastern Ukraine separatists.
Then it was Kyiv and all of the country.
After that it was threats to the Baltics, Sweden, and Finland.
Now it’s “chunks” of Moldova.
Fortunately for the world, Russia’s military isn’t capable of seizing any of it.
Go, Russia, go! They will have a land bridge all across the Black Sea!
Aim some at the Forbidden Coty in Beijing as well. And while we are at it, let’s reunify Korea and free Iran, and make Cuba a US territory.

Is that sarcasm? Just curious, because I’m dead serious. If we’re going to go to war with Russia over Ukraine, we need to go to war with Russia period. We fought on the enemy’s terms in Korea and Vietnam. Doesn’t usually work out too good in the long run.
