The Starving Time

We were told that Joe Biden in the White House meant a return to normal. CNN assured us an adult was now in charge and celebrated Donald Trump’s departure. That rhetoric has largely died away amidst the wreckage of the Biden administration, and yet the full scope of the disaster that is unfolding continues to be deliberately hidden from us.

We are not simply suffering some setbacks. We are in free fall and headed for catastrophe. Nowhere is that more evident than in regard to food supplies. Biden’s war on fossil fuels, his out-of-control spending, and his reaction to the war in Ukraine have resulted in dramatic increases in food prices and will in the near term mean much less food produced everywhere in the world. We are not just looking at higher prices. We are looking at food shortages and hunger.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen acknowledged the severity of the crisis in a recent statement.

"Initial estimates suggest that at least 10 million people could be pushed into poverty just by higher food prices."

“Dramatic situation continues to deteriorate.”

"We are faced with a widening global food crisis."

Then of course she went on to blame this all on the Russians. So much for adult behavior.

The UN has been warning of this for several years. Seems almost like it is planned.

During the Irish Potato Famine, Ireland continued to export food to the UK. People were dying all over Ireland from severe food shortages (near total failure of the potato crop for years), but the land owners could make more money selling to markets outside of Ireland, so that’s where the available food went.

The US can produce a lot of food — but that doesn’t mean our government won’t try to scoop it up and sell it to China while we suffer from serious shortages.

To my amazement, it only took The Party after a little over a year to achieve their goal of remaking the United States. With that remake, we are now well on our way to the fall that has happened to all empires. At age 80, I don’t have that many years left on this old earth, but my biggest dread is I will live long enough to see that bright light that once was the United States completely extinguished.

It is sad to see this happen when it was completely preventable. To Tupelo, I am a couple years older than you & I too would hate to see the U.S. flag fall. I realize that in the Eternity that no nation as we know them will exist, but it would be terrible to keep seeing it decline as it has in the last short period we have existed in. I’m sure that those who have caused America’s demise will eventually pay for it, but so will we all pay the price for this. I guess what I am hoping for is to live just long enough to see those most guilty for making America what it is today to be brought to justice. Few have as yet.

Didn’t Zhao Bai-den say something about how he’d never blame others, but take responsibility?
