Professor Shakeshaft has been at the forefront of this line of work for decades. This study is almost 20 years old but it remains the best, at least the best I could find. Professor Shakeshaft's Ted Talk on "A Call to Action: Stopping Sexual Abuse by School Employees", she says "Stop Prioritizing the comfort of adults over the safety of Children".

In short, NOBODY is really researching the subject. This was the best research I could find, and it allows us to put a number on the problem.

If they did research it, it would prove that most teachers shouldn’t be around children. They’re always screeching about priests and stay quiet about teachers. Predators go to where the prey is.
I hear this Pope expressed concern this might challenge The Church’s record in this arena.

So homosexual contacts occurred at rates significantly in excess of their numbers in the population. This shouldn’t be surprising, but it puts a number on their school grooming/recruitment activities.
What about student on student abuse? Add that to the incidences of abuse.
If the students were answering the study questions truthfully then the chances of any child being abused in school are very high.
Children are expected to put up with conditions that would win any adult **millions** in court.
