Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has led to a dramatic shift in American public opinion: 70% of Americans now consider Russia an enemy of the United States, up from 41% in January. And on this topic, Democrats and Republicans largely agree, with 72% of Democrats and 69% of Republicans describing Russia as an enemy.

A new Pew Research Center survey, conducted March 21-27, finds that just 7% of U.S. adults have an overall favorable opinion of Russia. Only 6% express confidence in its leader, President Vladimir Putin. In contrast, 72% have confidence in Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

You are wrong.   As KGB he was one of the few Russians who were allowed to study US and when Communism fell he has been trying to change Russia into what we once were.   In 1991 their stores shelves were completely empty, the black market was the only thing that kept people alive, and now they people have jobs and belief in the future.

I honestly had never heard about that. While he was definitely wrong in talking to what was supposedly a 15 year girl but was really a cop is troubling without a doubt, he was also a Marine. That doesn't excuse him for not walking away from the conversation, or for even engaging in a conversation when he was married with 2 children.

However, he still makes sense regarding this war that is much more complicated then just Russia invaded Ukraine.

But other than that troubling behavior, I see no evidence that he continued down that path. Which makes me wonder, did he just get caught up in something other than what he believed was the the truth, that she was lying about being 15, and thought she was really a legal adult. Not making excuses for him or his behavior, but I think there may be more to the case, because true pedophiles keep offending even after being caught previously.
