TEMPLE, Texas - A woman stole more than $2,000 in meat from an H-E-B grocery store as the clerk tries unsuccessfully to stop her, according to the Temple Police Department.

Police say it happened on April 15 around 3:34 p.m. at the store located on the 3000 block of S. 31 Street in Temple. Officers were dispatched to the location for reports of a theft in progress.

When police arrived, they were told that two women had stolen a large quantity of meat and then drove off. A store employee saw the two women exit the store with the purloined meat and tried to pull the cart away from them, but the women were able to load all of the meat into their car.

Now, now.

She should have been given another $8,000 in free food.

For this week. Next week: another free $10,00 in food.

Is it time to put RFID chips or remote activated dye packs in expensive meat cuts?

I thought the H-E-B employee took a picture of it when she took the picture of the trunk full of meat.

($2,000 in meat?

What did she steal?)

With Joe’s current inflation rates, I was expecting 2lbs of 80/20.

The white woman is either a HEB employee or concerned citizen that is trying to stop her. She videos the license plate so unless it is a stolen car she should be easy to track down.

I’ve been thinking..

Have you ever seen those stores (usually Jewelry stores, I think) that have 2 exit doors you have to go through, that the staff can hit a button and it magnetically locks both doors with the robbers trapped between the doors?

I wonder how well those would work in a big grocery store like this.

I would invest in something like that if I owned one of those stores...

(Is it time to put RFID chips)

8 years ago, one of my internal customers had a printer (Zebra) that would do just that. It was used for shipping.

Everything will be RFID tagged or locked behind glass IMHO.

The IBM checkout system (automated) depends upon that for walk-through scanning.

After that, it’s a short distance to the Mark if the Beast but that doesn’t happen until the middle of the 7 year “peace” plan. Which has not started yet.

Maybe he did take a pic. That doesn’t seem to be enough for the police to find these women, at least not so far.
This video is helping to spread the message. Somebody in that area will recognize the thieves or that car.

ALL the big stores have the dual boxed entry toprovide the air knives that keep the cool air in the store. They could easily be modified to close on an alarm signal. Trap the idiots inside and wait for the cops.

Not quite the same thing, but, as far as I know (the last time I checked), it is still legal in Texas to shoot cattle rustlers.

This isn't exactly "live" cattle, but it once was 😉.

I still think picking them off in the parking lot dodging between cars would be more fun!

If the worst she can get is 1 year in jail, we need to change our laws.

They’ll get rid of checkout clerks and eventually put on more security. That’s my guess, anyways.

My Kroger in Fort Worth has a locking device on the wheels of the shopping carts.

"Black women have needs and do not commit criminal acts." "Cultural Analysis"

Gosh, you're so behind times. The white woman trying to stop her was wearing a shirt with a rainbow emblem on the front (from what I can tell in the video). That makes the white woman automatically in the right. LOL

Cultural Analysis Squared
