Former Trump national security adviser Mike Flynn says it's time to stop sending Ukraine weapons

On Wednesday, appearing on the LindellTV with Emerald Robinson, former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, advocated for ending U.S. military aid to Ukraine to protect them from the Russian invasion.

"Let me give you my judgment on where we are right now," said Flynn. "I think that anybody that anyone that continues to put fuel on a blazing fire, meaning more weapons, more ammunition, more of the sort of warfare-type stuff that's thrown into this fire is going to keep this fire blazing for a long, long time. And I think that doesn't benefit anybody."

I always saw our DS as more of a threat than Russia. Having the 5eyes spying on the political opponents are more an issue than Ukraine getting its corrupt ass rolled.

NATO=US and UK. That is the deterrent. The reason why the former Warsaw Pact countries wanted to join NATO is to have the US be the guarantor of their sovereignty up to and including nuclear war. Good deal for them, not so much for us.

Russia doesn't have the manpower or resources to occupy Ukraine. That was never Putin's objective. The US has no strategic national interests in Ukraine. We have made matters worse using the cynical ploy of sacrificing Ukraine to weaken Russia, which is not an existential threat to NATO.

Now that we have entered into a new Cold War with Russia, what have we achieved and what will the ramifications be in the future for thr entire globe?

Ukraine Invasion Threatens Global Wheat Supply--Russia and Ukraine together supply more than a quarter of the world’s wheat, and coming disruptions could fuel higher food prices and social unrest.

You have to win to make that happen. I am sure many Serbians would like to see American leaders in the dock for the damage inflicted on them by NATO. The victors hold the war trials. It has nothing to do with morality.

Ah yes, if only we met Hitler in the middle too,eh?

Not for the Propaganda Media's lack of trying, having him on the cover of 'Time' magazine in 1931, 1933, 1936, and 1939 (1938 Man of the Year).

We made a promise to Ukraine, if they gave up their nukes we would be there to protect them.

Any promise from the United States about sovereignty is meaningless. Who would believe it? It's coming from a country that has Democrats actively violating the law to aid and abet illegal alien invaders.

The treaty from 1994 was under Bill Clinton who was guilty of felony perjury. Anything he says or signs is worthless.

That promise is also coming from a country with someone unlawfully sitting as vice president. Kamala Harris is not a natural born citizen because neither of her parents were U.S. citizens when she was born. Any agreement with a country where the oaths of the president and vice-president are invalid is null and void.

The guy is a regular griffting black hole.

It’s a bottomless money pit there will be no end to it and they’ll want us to rebuild the laundromat after it’s all over so they can send more kickbacks to dirty politicians 🤪

They should be prevented by law from giving billions tax dollars away to their buddies any time they please for any reason

Did you study history from Boy’s Life Magazine, The shortes correct generalization on history was spoken by Mae West in the film ‘In Old New York’, “Goodness has nothing to do with it darling”. The great Cardinal Richelieu said something to the same effect but the Hollywood script writer was much pithier and concise,

Eurabia. Armed to the teeth. The German army will resemble hezbollah in some ways. Demographics is destiny. Prissy white dinks having poodles instead of children whilst mad mo followers have em by the dozen. Not in Europe of course, but Gaza has the highest birthrate in the world. The Germano/ islamists will be looking for lebensraum again. In the east no doubt. Hopefully Russia , which has its own mad mo demographic nightmare, will challenge that down the road

“Ukraine is still the underdog against Russia in this fight. Why wouldn’t he ask for as much as he can get?”

Of course he’s going to ask for as much as he can get, as you and I are paying for all of it. Your tax dollars at work. The U.S. taxpayers’ bill for our part in this war, is already 2 billion dollars plus. How much more do you want to shell out, and for how many more months, years? And considering, because of Biden, what dire straits our own country is in.

Russia is going to be in Ukraine one way or the other for years. Crimea wanted to join Russia, as most of its populace is Russian and always was, and so Ukraine will never get that back as their hold on it was tenuous at best. In particular, considering how they acquired Crimea in the first place.

Crimea was part of Russia, not Ukraine. Khruschev was “czar” of Russia and although being Russian, had a Uke wife and spent much of his early working life in Ukraine. He “gifted” Crimea to Ukraine back in the 1950’s, without asking the Russian people/gov’t what they thought about it. He just gave it away. I think Biden should “gift” California to Mexico.

The Ukrainian Donbass area is also primarily Russian speaking and it has been fought over for the last 8 years plus. Russia won’t be leaving there either. So, basically the Ukraine is pretty evenly split in two, with the eastern half being pro Russia, and the western part being pro West.

They need a divorce; split the country down the diagonal middle and come to a settlement. Otherwise there will be no Ukrainian people left in the eastern half as they will have escaped or will end up either dead or as vassals of Russia. A prolonged continuing war here results in more dead Ukrainian citizens. Guess that gives credence to the old phrase of “rather being dead than red.” And indeed huge quantities of Ukrainians will thus end up dead.

Trump is right, negotiate and settle. Zelenskii’s unwillingness to give up any territory in the east/southeast at all where the civil war in the Donbass between the Russians and Ukes has been going on for years, is myopic at best. Crimea is already in Russian hands. This intransigence will lead to an ever increasing toll on his people in numbers of dead, wounded and/or dispersed throughout the world.

As it is, there will undoubtedly be years of guerrilla warfare, or at best an uneasy truce. It’s time to face reality and come to terms as it is foolish to assume that Ukraine will ever be able to actually defeat the Russian bear. It ain’t gonna happen. Realistically there will be no David and Goliath, as attractive as that myth is. And the Ukrainian dead continue to add up.

The Ukrainian people should not be sold a false bill of goods by their leadership and by the egging on of the western neocon war hawks, to keep fighting a war they will not ever really win. And those of you still pushing the “Ukraine can win this war” line, should know better, and you inevitably will be proven wrong. The beat goes on, the Ukes keep suffering.

Russia doesn't have the manpower or resources to occupy Ukraine. That was never Putin's objective.

What you believe about Putin's intentions is irrelevant. What matters is what Putin/Russia and Zelensky/Ukraine believe. Russia "occupied" Ukraine for literally centuries -- right up until the 1990's. Did you ever read Putin's essay he wrote last summer, in which he said that Ukraine historically/culturally is a part of Russia, and that there really isn't a Ukrainian identity at all? That was basically a manifesto that Ukraine shouldn't exist at all. Any fair-minded person reading that would conclude that Putin does not/did not believe as you do. Certainly, the Ukrainians aren't going to have the same faith you do that Russia considers Ukraine to be long-term independent.

The Ukrainians -- and all of us -- also have the uncontroverted evidence of the Russians battling bitterly on the outskirts of Kyiv itself. They lost, but it surely shows their intent. Or at least, a very reasonable fear on the part of Ukraine that Russia would gladly take the entire country if it thought it could.

And that's the entire problem with the Russian offer of a ceasefire. They want Ukraine to give up large chunks of the most industrialized parts of their country, likely including the entire Black Sea coast east to the Donbass to give the Russians that land bridge. That will unquestionably make Ukraine a weaker/poorer country moving forward. Even if they rebuild all of it, they'll be a rump version of the country they were prior to this war. And, what's left of Ukraine must promise not to join NATO, which means they'd be fighting alone once more.

So what's to prevent Russia from learning from this invasion, retooling their military, and then trying another blitzkrieg in the next year or two? Ukraine will be smaller, they'd have given up the more easily defended built-up areas in the Donbass, the Russians would have that even bigger foothold surrounding Crimea and the whole Mariupol area...and Ukraine again would have no allies to come to its aid. Even if you personally don't think that's likely, Ukraine can't afford the luxury of being wrong if it makes the same bet. They'd literally be betting their future as a nation on the good will of Vladimir Putin. And what kind of a moron would do that?

That's the entire problem with coming to a ceasefire. Russia is insisting on terms that will make Ukraine weaker and more vulnerable than it was before this war, and there is absolutely zero reason for them to believe any Russian promises that they won't try again. Ukraine cannot agree to that unless they literally are unable to fight any further, which is not the case.

If all those parts of Ukraine were as pro-Russian as you are trying to imply, the Russians should have had a much easier time in this invasion than they had. Which means that the chart doesn't really tell us squat about whether who actually supports continued resistance by the Ukrainian government versus capitulation to Russian demands.

And the Ukrainians rightly understand that if they give up that territory in blue, it wouldn't be more than a few years before the Russians invaded and gobbled up the rest of the country that Putin already has written doesn't really have a reason to exist as an independent country.

“ The entrenched deep state operatives that fabricated evidence to frame Flynn and destroy Trump are now fanning the flames of war in Ukraine. Makes me very suspicious of their motives.”
————————————————————————————————————————-

We seem to be able to find common ground, mostly.

Except on one little issue……….fanning the flames of War in Ukraine was done the second Russia invaded.
