What ever happened to the guy who shot that woman cinematographer?
I think Baldwin was his name
These things are fun, but once the tire leave the ground all bets are off.
Darwin wins. Putting four people in a two passenger vehicle speeding sideways down a dune is not a recipe for success.
were any Kennedys involved?
“for reasons still under investigation, the Can-Am began overturning down the sand dune,”
Well they better put their best investigators on this or we may never know why it happened...
People often die at the Imperial Sand Dune Recreation Area ..Drunks and others who think they know how to handle OHV’s. I love doing the off road thing with dirt bikes etc., but I hate the sand....It gets into everything mechanical.
Let me guess...The driver was going way too fast, at an angle too great for the vehicle. The high side and low side were quite different I'm sure. Unfortunately many people driving OHV's are not skilled for that environment or the vehicles they're driving.
It’s like a Columbo.
This also happens a lot, as they don't tighten their harnesses enough, they fail to wear helmets and they're driving outside their skill level. They find they're suddenly half hanging out of an out of control vehicle, as it start rolling over right onto of their necks or heads.
Being partially ejected in a roll over seldom turns out well.

I am a Chapman (College) University graduate from “back in the day.” I helped with a student led effort to start the film school. It has been a great success, and partners with USC in many areas.
HOWEVER, the school used to be Christian-based. It is nominally still that way, but it has gone totally woke and lost its way. I quit donating a decade ago. It makes me sick to watch it metamorphose into just another lib petri dish.
