I am a Chapman (College) University graduate from “back in the day.” I helped with a student led effort to start the film school. It has been a great success, and partners with USC in many areas.
HOWEVER, the school used to be Christian-based. It is nominally still that way, but it has gone totally woke and lost its way. I quit donating a decade ago. It makes me sick to watch it metamorphose into just another lib petri dish.

Congratulations. Chapman film dept. is awesome. In 2015 I visited film departments at Chapman, Loyola Univ., USC, UCLA and Otis. Chapman had the best tools. USC had the best alumni. UCLA had the best actors. LMU had the best church and Otis had the best computer graphics dept. The problem is that USC owns the student’s movies while the others schools allow the students to own their movies.
Sad about the two filmakers’ demise in the desert. Young and reckless. Very sad.
